I wouldn't blame this on either party, if you can be bothered why not read Fear by Barry Glassner, he discussed all of this in detail decades ago ..

Well, Iran has openly declared death to America and the modern way of life so I would take that as a serious threat. They've also funded terrorism.

Immigrants are committing way more crime than what should be tolerated by the host nations.
They should not get the same leniency as a native born citizen but right now they get pampered.

And commies are just plain dumb people who failed at life and want America to burn.

Now let's look at the other side of the fear campaign since all of your examples were a dig at republicans and traditional Americans.

Do you have any idea how many news stories and specials we all had to watch about these so called right wing militias that are a threat to our existence?
LoL they never did anything and they aren't a threat.
It was convenient cover when non white violence was high, the news would pump out these "militias" stories. Look! It's white people who are the threat! Please ignore the vast amount of non whites who commit crimes. That's racist!

Covid?
All Liberals and the like, look like complete fools with how they acted during covid. The news made it seem like we were all going to die.

Covid is still going around, no news on it, no mandatory vaccinations or loss of your job.
What happened? Why y'all change your tune?
