Has there been a debate on this movement I can read?
A friend has introduced me to this ideology- I don't feel like it makes sense, but still sifting through. I like that they are thinking about the world and structure, but society as a whole there needs to b ...[text shortened]... tand' = to stand under their authority.

I'd be interested to read your take on it.....
Maybe I should start an "Expensive Man" movement!😀😀😀

Well...I'm not sure what the "purpose of a Democracy" is, but that may be part of it. There however is a big difference between changing bad laws, and ignoring the laws that are now in force.
Was dumping the King's tea into Boston Harbor ignoring the laws, or worse?

I don't have time to read through it at the moment, but what it sounds like you're describing is Anarchy.
It's perhaps your greatest fear, that is, having to look your fellow man square in the eye as your equal, even if they are a "teabagger".

Liberals do not like the word equal when it comes to their fellow humans.

They run in wolf packs. By themselves they are cowards. Inherently, the collectivist knows that fighting on their individual ability is a recipe for disaster.

That is also one of their strengths. Too bad they are playing on the wrong (evil) team.

Well...before we start stereotyping people as evil, let's consider the fact that many LIBERALS are business owners (such as myself), many have served honorably in the military, and many are Christians. The LIBERAL agenda of protecting the rights of employees from the abuses of corporations, the promotion of renewable energy sources, a clean enviornment, equal legal rights for all citizens (even minorities, gays and lesbians), insuring guns are kept out of the hands of crimminals through strict background checks, and the concept that America should seek first to solve it's foreign relation issues through diplomacy, rather than military action may indeed seem "evil" to many, but I consider these things to be admirable. Fortunately, so do the majority of voters!😏

Most liberals are not evil. They don't know their leadership is evil.

Their leadership is evil? That's interesting, because in my state (Washington) our "evil" leadership consists mainly of 2 lady Senators... Patty Murray, and Maria Cantwell. These "evil ladies" have been instrumental in upgrading medical conditions for our armed service personel, assisting Amtrack in building the first high speed rail line on the west coast, giving Washington the highest minimum wage in the nation, one of the highest literacy rates (Seattle is # 1 in the nation). and one of the cleanest enviornments nationally.

So...what's your alternative beyser? Go back to "drill baby drill" as an energy policy? Get the good 'ol boy's from down south back in office to spread some more lies about "weapons of mass destruction" so we can start another war we can't afford? Do away with enviornmental standards like they do in Texas, just to attract business? Take a good look at your conservative stronghold...the south, with it's low education standards, filthy enviornment, lack of affordable healthcare, and massive divide between rich and poor, and ask yourself: Who's the evil one here??😏

The republican leadership is equally evil. What I propose is that we get rid of the two party system and have a plethora of candidates to choose from that are not puppets. What do you think Bill?

I think the best argument against democracy is to spend an hour talking to the average voter.
Why should someone be allowed to vote just because they were born and are 18 years old?

Interesting idea. If you can find a way to make that happen, please let me know.

Bill, my State, Michigan also has two Democratic Senators, an approximately equal split in House representation, most of our largest cities run by Democratic mayors, mostly one party entities where republicans don't even run.

Do you think that perhaps the good and bad stuff that happen may not be attributable to the politicians.
