@no1marauder saidSpeech is a red herring.
A lie as you know.
Jewish students are not entitled to be "protected" from speech they don't like.
The examples of physical harassment and assault on Jewish students in that era were legion. Jews were having things thrown at them, spit at, barred from entering classroom buildings and libraries and many other examples. This happened thousands of times. Jews were afraid to leave their dorm rooms for days on end on these and other campuses, while the administration sat on their hands for fear of angering the mob. It was cowardly and disgusting.
Edit: I'm going to reserve personal experience because it's anecdotal and I'm not about to post my cell phone videos on this site. But let's just say I know it happened.
@sh76 saidLMAO! Your last paragraph concedes he was blackballed for his expression of his political views yet somehow that isn't:"cancel culture" in your confused mind.
Chris Kluwe (possibly).
Riley Cooper was fined, though he stayed with the team.
Justin Tucker. Not exactly speech, but for being a distractions. Johnny Manziel. Manti Te’o fell out of the first round due to his being a distraction.
Antonio Brown and Terrell Owens were basically chased off several teams for being a distraction.

@sh76 saidLet me be blunt: I believe you are vastly exaggerating and out and out lying by calling participants in these almost invariably peaceful demonstrations a "mob". I believe there was one instance where a Jewish student was hit on the arm by a stick and the person who did it was expelled. None of that justifies punishment for protected political speech which right wing politicians were insisting the college presidents impose.

In fact, Jewish organizations were involved in almost all the protests at these universities.

Hillel International tracked over 2,000 anti-semitic incidents on campuses just during this past term and the annual number went up by an order of magnitude in the past few years. Of course, for every reported incident, there are probably 10 unreported ones.

Your consistent resorting to ad hominems in practically every response to my posts is lamentable.

@sh76 saidLumping every single incident of supposed anti-Jewish bias at every university in the last year as a justification for the suppression of political speech during the months in question where these protests occurred is laughably dishonest.

Is Jewish Voice for Peace an anti-Semitic part of the "mob"?

@sh76 saidHe asked you about the (thousands of) mob incidents. This lists "graffiti" as violence.

@wildgrass saidHe didn't "ask" me a damn thing. He just kept screaming "LMAO" or some variation thereof and attacking me personally.

I consider a group of people screaming "from the river to the sea" and blocking people with yarmulkas from entering school buildings and screaming at passing Jews "go back to Poland" to be a mob. You can define it differently if you so choose.
