@rajk999 saidSo the mass murder and displacement of the indigenous population to make way for slaves who were put there to enrich their masters whilst enduring virtual hell on earth is OK because you got to ride the empire’s coattails from your colonised land to someone else’s where even an Indian had status over an African.
I am thankful for colonisation. I personally wish the Crown did not grant indepencence to these islands. Why?
- without colonisation I would still have been in India.. never been there but it does not appear to be a great place to live.
- if the Imperialist powers were still in control then these islands would be far better off.
These islands changed hands many times, ...[text shortened]... Cayman Islands, Martinque, Virgin Islands.
Colonial rule and Imperialism is a blessing for some.
You’re not quite right in the head or soul are you son.
@averagejoe1 saidMaking money (especially off the backs of your employees) is not what makes one successful. Being rich is not what being successful is.
Not to a close-minded one track liberal who is required to travel on one narrative, in this case, colonialism made some people rich and they absolutely hate success. They absolutely hate success. They use the word greed in the place of success. They want a diner owner to share all profits with his employees at the end of tha day. Ask them. They will not deny it. The reason that they will not deny it is to agree that capitalism is better than socialism.
@suzianne saidWhat is the full meaning of success?
Making money (especially off the backs of your employees) is not what makes one successful. Being rich is not what being successful is.
noun. the favorable or prosperous termination of attempts or endeavors; the accomplishment of one's goals. the attainment of wealth, position, honors, or the like.

@kevcvs57 saidI dont think the average American has what transpired during that period correct. Your knowledge of the period during slavery and colonisation is tainted by movies that glorified the prior life of the slaves and those conquered. In the Caribbean the Caribs and Arawaks lived in abject poverty and in constant fear of their lives because of hostile cannibalistic neighbours. In Africa the tribes were all fighting each other and taking them as slaves. It is the African leaders who sold slaves to the British slave traders. They sold their own people into slavery.

Instead of looking at Roots, which is just pure fiction, have a look at Apocalypto which is closer to the truth. Colonisation is a God-send. Its was necessary to end the mass poverty, cannibalism and disease. Without it we would still be like the primitive tribes in the Amazon jungle or Africa.
@suzianne saidSure, go for it. Did you see my list this morning of Joe Biden misleading our nation at every turn with his lies. Long list, look at it when you go on break. I left out Clinton pointing his finger at us, ‘I did not have sexual relations with that woman…”. We are busy enough with this puppet Biden. You would know….do his handlers tell him to lie, or is it all him.?

@rajk999 saidLibs won’t get this, doesn’t fit the narrative of their handlers. We don’t have handlers, as we are independent. Handlers have to have their dependents all of the same narrative.
