This is silly. The right wingers are accusing Al Gore of being a hypocrite. STOP THE PRESSES! A former professional politican is a hypocrite. Lordy what's next?! A Congressman that takes bribes???
Looking for hypocrisy in politics is like looking for water in the ocean.
All of your sad arguments are nothing but your usual tactics of shooting the messenger when you don't like the message. None of this helps solve or prevent the problem of global warming. But since most of you don't seem to believe in that anyway I guess it really doesn't matter.
Keep living in denial. Keep running away from problems instead of standing up and facing them. Just keep finding any illogical argument or misdirection tactic you can that coincides with and or affirms your misplaced beliefs. Look for anything you can that makes you feel right and gives you the warm & fuzzies... See where that gets you...

Thousands of scientists from around the world including: climatologists, geologists, and meteorologists, men and women that have devoted their professional lives to the study of the above fields, are all saying "Hey, the earth is getting warmer and bad things are happening. Maybe we should try to slow that down a bit?" Does that carry any weight with you? Do you just ignore the advice of professionals that give you information for no other reason than it doesn't jive with your personal opinion?
That's like going to the doctor, being diagnosed and advised of the appropriate treatment, and then completely ignoring the doctor's advice and doing whatever you want.
Global warming isn't misdirection used to divert attention away from America's social problems. The people you're accusing of misdirection would have nothing to gain from it. They're people from all over the world. And they don't give a rat's @ss about America's high taxes or bloated government.

Your railing against the wrong person. Its your beloved Al Gore that lives in the mansion and uses more energy than he needs.

One thing you might want to put into perspective: we have a small start up company, Inplane Photonics, a small clean room with lots of high tech science gear, our electric feed is a 250,000 watt transformer the size of a small camper and our electric bill is $20,000 per month here in New Jersey. We have about 6 people in our company and are only beginning to have a viable product in the photonics field. So his bill looks kinda puny by comparison. between the 6 of us, we are spending 3,000 + per month on electricity alone, to say nothing of water, natural gas and sewage and associated toxic substance breakdown machinery.
