A 22 like that would not have been used to kill like in Highland park, which BTW is NOT Chicago, it is an upper class community of my guess mostly white folks.
I used to have a little 22 myself, back when we lived on the road to Mount Palomar, I just used it for plinking cans and such, we leased a 40 acre farm and there was one hill in the back overlooking another farm and several hundred yards away downhill, had my rifle on a stump for support and saw a bunch of rabbits in an empty field so I took a couple of pot shots and needless to say didn't even come close to hitting a rabbit and I don't know what I would have done if I HAD hit one, I only saw the rounds hit the dirt creating a small dust cloud and the rabbits were just ignoring them. Not even close, so that would not have been able to accurately aim at ANYTHING at the parade in Highland park and after a flight of a few hundred yards the velocity of the bullets would have been down to something more akin to a CO2 pistol, so again, NOBODY is saying can't have a 22, you are just continuing the disingenuous route to nothing.
