An interesting discussion, given that Mike Lee has presented a bill to impeach him, we can get ahead of what the news will be! I think there are a few, but invite any thoughts from the contingency?

Old news, dude.

Comer should finally admit there's no "there" there.

Congress is savvy enough to recognize that if they impeach Biden for anything, it will set the bar so low that no seat on Capital Hill will be safe.

Duh. Libs do not think things through.

You are not making any sense.

Sen. Mike Lee has not sponsored or co-sponsored a resolution to impeach Biden.

Impeachment begins in the House.

No, it's whoever is thinking of starting impeachment proceedings against Biden who is not thinking things through. Republicant's recently tried to impeach Mayorkas and failed miserably because incompetence and failure to stop illegal immigration do not meet the standard of "high crimes and misdemeanors". If incompetence and doing nothing to stop illegal immigration were impeachable, then half of Congress would be impeachable too. Trump himself killed a bill which would have addressed the issue, and Congress knows it all too well.

Simple. Given what you suggest, then yes, half the congress needs to account for their actions. THAT is a no-brainer.

Right. So Biden stutters, he has a loser son, and he sometimes wonders off-topic when he’s speaking. Hardly impeachable offenses.

I just pulled this at random. Actually, my main deal is that he is not protecting our country from invaders, which is a direct violation of his oath of office. He should obviously be impeached for that alone, so, further, I need sayeth not.

he 46th and incumbent U.S. president Joe Biden has seen multiple efforts by some members of the Republican Party to impeach him. An impeachment inquiry into Biden was launched in September 2023, without a vote, by House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, who designated three House committees led by James Comer, chairman of House Committee on Oversight and Accountability. A number of prominent Republican lawmakers, along with Donald Trump and some of his political allies, have indicated the motivation behind efforts to impeach Biden is also driven by resentment over Trump's previous two impeachments.
There has often been a lack of consensus among supporters of impeachment as to what the root offenses for an impeachment should be. Issues that have been floated by prominent proponents have included Biden's handling of illegal immigration at the United States–Mexico border, the handling of the United States' withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan, Biden's extension of a federal COVID-19 eviction moratorium, other COVID-19 pandemic-related actions of Biden, business dealings of Biden's son Hunter (incorporating allegations of the Biden–Ukraine conspiracy theory), Biden's energy policy, the Joe Biden classified documents incident, and the accusation that Biden is "weaponizing" the government.

This is to correct a post I wrote to Spruce. I'd said it was Mike Lee,,,,,actually it is Cory Mills, ....Sonhouse posts make me bleary sometimes.

U.S. Rep. Cory Mills of Florida has filed an article of impeachment citing President Joe Biden's threat of withholding arms from Israel if it launches an attack on Rafah, Gaza, as an "abuse of power."7 hours ago

@AverageJoe1
You keep projecting the coup attempt on Jan 6 as old news but for Donald it is not even BEGUN to be over. It is NOT old news it is buried in the heart of America even if you don't feel it. He almost succeeded and it was only Pence who kept it from being a full blown constitutional crisis when he rejected the fake electors.
WE WILL NEVER FORGET and so will 90% of America and it is folks like you who desire to put it behind us so we fall asleep and Jan 6 was just a rehearsal for the next more powerful thrust against democracy.

It will go exactly where the rest have gone.

Exactly nowhere.

@AverageJoe1
Right, impeachable offense for daring to stand up to a tyrant like Neten YAHOO, funny thing, a President is legally within his wheelhouse to do stuff like that and cretins like that dude starting impeachment is going to fail and I fully expect someone like the traitor Jim Jordan to try again also and fail again also.
There was a REAL reason for Trump getting impeached the first time AND the second time and it was a spineless senate letting a would be dictator off the hook which just emboldened Trump and you know that full well.

Seeriously, please, tell us how he 'almost succeeded'.
