I don't see any moral difference. Both know their products will lead to deaths; in the case of tobacco and alcohol far more deaths than recreational drugs. Why one group can be supposedly murdered on sight while the others are considered good corporate citizens with oversized influence on public policy is bizarre once you step outside the box.

These boats are supposedl ...[text shortened]... ist's sake). Acting like some low level guys on boats are akin to murderers is ludicrous hypocrisy.

Because one is following the law and the other is flouting it. How much clearer can a difference be?

When they outlaw tobacco and alcohol, then we can treat large scale illegal importers as criminals.

===Both know their products will lead to deaths===

Most, or at least many, produces lead to deaths. Toyota's products are going to lead to deaths. As will Tide's. As will Westrock Pools'.

Companies can't be responsible for what consumers do with their legally manufactured and sold products unless there is something else about their manufacturing or marketing that puts them at fault.

Man made arbitrary distinctions don't define morality. Saying, correctly, that many products can and do kill just shows the capricious nature of outlawing recreational drugs.

But if "following the law" is supposedly the end all, killing criminal suspects on sight isn't "following the law" but "flouting" it.

Well then, we are BOTH asssholes. I can live with that. But you don't even know WHY you are an assshole, with your head firmly shoved up Trumps ass.

Again, Trump was a far superior choice than Camala was.

My head is up no ones ass ( Independent and all )

Yours is so far up your party's ass that you refuse to see anything wrong with what they do and have done.

Oh, you mean it was SO great a thing to murder two helpless dudes hanging on to a blown up boat so they launch another missile and murder those two guys just clinging to life. BESIDES the very dubious legal issue in attacking those boats in the first place, for one thing, now that some time has passed they figured out those boats were NOT going to the US but to a bigger boat going to another South American country.
So good luck defending THAT POS so called policy.

That's because they're legal and not really regulated.

If fentanyl and meth were unregulated and available in every shopping center, they'd kill far more people than tobacco and alcohol.

You have to draw the line between allowing people to do bad stuff and prohibiting them somewhere. Ice cream and candy kill people too. You can't just prohibit it.

If the people, throug ...[text shortened]... . Comparing these people to the CEOs of companies that produce legal substances is beside the point.

Trump could capture the boats, prove they have drugs and put them in prison but chooses to execute people instead and they do have names. If that was done inside out country it would be illegal and be punishable by life in prison.

It is no different when Obama killed innocent people in drone strikes, but it should be a punishable crime no matter who is doing it. The problem is that presidents are above the law outside the USA. Obama once killed 3 innocent American citizens overseas. If any of your relatives were killed like that you would be upset I think. Even if they had drugs.
