Hahahahaha

One would think it was self-evident.

Well, that being said, with all the right-wing crackers around here, it is actually possible that there is actual admiration for the man…

What a world we inhabit.

You are a bit loose with your figures, it was 66,000 in Hiroshima, 39,000 in Nagasaki. That is a total of 105K. We would have lost more than 105k in a ground invasion of Japan, so it was a no-brainer. And the Jpas would have lost more than that, as they did love to commit suicide when they found themselves in a pinch!!

There were families at Pearl Harbor. Prob just ...[text shortened]... have taken all this in, as I have waxed Duchess-like, tell us what we should have done, or not done.
You forget Tokyo.

Aww, this thread is sarcastic? I wanted to talk about my Hitler action figures.
I was in the toy museum in Nuremberg.
And there they had, from the 30’s, an action figure set of of the rallies. With a Hitler, Bormann and Goebbels action figures on the stage.
There wasn’t a Himmler action figure. He was seemingly just too weird.

They also had, from the late 40’s, and I kid you not… a rebuild your own Dresden play kit.

But here’s a lego Hitler (I don’t know if this one’s a joke or not):

How do you know he never said it?
Michael Bender writes about a discussion between trump and Kelly witnessed by other people.
You weren’t there.

I thought they were also sarcastic. For the very least ironic.

See the big picture. You foreigners have no ideas about the USA. Remember, even the Jpas (misspelled for Duchess, she didn't like it the other way) said, after Pearl Harbor, "We have awakened a sleeping giant". That means they know they would lose their ass in the end. And we kicked their ass, which they had coming ten-fold. I would have pushed the button. A lot of libs here think we should not have annihilated them, but rather just fight and fight and fight. Funny, I can't imagine Marauder et al in a fox hole next to a guy who is about to run toward the enemy with a flame thrower, hollering, "Cover Me!!" Just can't see it. Naaaa, dropping Little Boy and Fat Man were the best thing our country has ever done, except for Biden closing the pipeline and telling the Russians to pump the hell out of oil. Making us energy dependent. .....and raising taxes on energy. Now THIS is a cause that Sonhouse should take up, and do some good for a change.

Completely aside from Israel, Trump's wholehearted support of his Jewish son-in-law, daughter and grandchildren, his constant willingness to meet and dialogue with Jewish groups and organizations, his appointment of Jews to key positions (Sec of Treasury, Deputy AG, multiple senior policy advisors and many, many others) and his releasing of Shalom Rubashkin over the stonewalling of ("Jew" ) Chuck Schumer, utterly destroy any suggestion that Trump is anti-Semitic.

Aside from the old canard that anything right wing must be perforce anti-Semitic, for those who pay close attention to politicians' interactions with Jewish communities, there is not a scintilla of evidence that Trump doesn't like Jews.

I get why people call him anti-Semitic. My own mother does. There's a knee-jerk reaction to call anything associated with the right anti-Semitic. In this case, it happens to be a prevarication.

@sh76

Funny how the support for Israel comes from the right while the people who support the Palestinians and other Muslim groups are on the left.

Yet you claim the right is antisemitic and the left supports Jews. I see a contradiction.

Atom bombs are not selective about who gets killed.

BTW, did you know that the SA apartheid govt. commissioned research into the possibility of biological weapons which would affect only Blacks?

I'm not sure selective weapons would be an improvement -- the potential for collateral damage seems to be a good reason for not using WMD at all.
