What is your opinion on the left's support of Israel?

I am quite worried about the pressure from the far-left wing of the Democratic party to eliminate support for Israel.

The far-left may be motivated more by knee-jerk anti-colonialism and reflexive hatred of all things "white" in origin rather than classical anti-Semitism, but that's hair-splitting and not very comforting.

You well know the majority of the Palestinians would be satisfied with a peace deal giving them a State within the West Bank based on the pre-1967 lines. Pretending all the Arabs want to kill every Israeli just excuses your hatred and bigotry towards them.

The fact of the matter is that there can be no unforced peace if the other side does not recognize your existence.

It is the truth. The problem is Hamas and people like them. As long as the Muslims cannot stop them by force, Muslims cannot be treated as if they are a peaceful group.

It is your BS that needs to dealt with. You need to realize that Israel has a right to defend itself against threats. Those threats would continue if the Palestinians got everything they wanted.

Why? Hamas still exists and would be allowed to attack Israel.

As long as Israel makes it clear it has no intention of negotiating in good-faith to move forward toward a just peace, Palestinians have no incentive to reign in groups that wage war against Israel.

After they gain a State, they will.

I have never supported Hamas' central demand that Israel cease to exist as anyone who has read my posts here knows.

It is the Israeli right which is the greatest impediment to peace since it insists on de facto annexation of the majority of the West Bank. Hamas has little influence outside of Gaza.
