At the center of this book lies Sean Hannity, a college dropout who, following the death of Fox News mastermind Roger Ailes, reigns supreme at the network that pays him $30 million a year. the author describes the raging tensions inside FOX between the Trump loyalists and the few remaining journalists.
In speaking with over 250 current and former Fox insiders in an effort to understand the inner workings of FOX News, many FOX employees freely admitted they think Donald Trump is crazy or incompetent. “We don't really believe all this stuff,” a producer says. “We just tell other people to believe it.”
Including never before reported details, Hoax exposes the media personalities who, though morally bankrupt, profit outrageously by promoting the President’s propaganda and radicalizing the American right. It is a book for anyone who reads the news and wonders: How did this happen?

@mchill saidThis all has roots in AM talk-radio in the 80s and 90s with hyper-conservative hosts who worshipped Reagan. They laid the groundwork for propaganda TV like Fox News and now OAN.

@shavixmir saidSounds like a neat way to make $28.00 from people keen to have their bias reinforced.
Sounds like kosher journalism to me...
@sonhouse saidEvery time you ask me a question like this I just look at my screen in utter bewilderment, and I realise that you don’t actually read much of the stuff here do you?
@divegeester
What is YOUR bias? Are you going to vote for Trump?
I’m English, I can’t stand Trump.
In fact I wouldn’t cross the road to piss on his head if his stupid hair was on fire.
The book in the OP is a bias. Just because I think so and say so doesn’t mean I’m either American or a Trump supporter.
@divegeester
I have read a lot of the stuff here, but the last month has been very bad medically for my wife and I am in near 100% caretaker mode since she cannot get out of bed without help and has had to poop in a commode where I get to empty the result into the toilet and clean it up, she broke 3 bones, two in ankle and one in tibia because of a stupid dog hole and had to have reconstructive surgery with two separate incisions and nuts and bolts and plates installed to put her leg back together again so I don't have a lot of time here.
I am happy to see you say that about Trump. Personally I think he is a TRAITOR, aiding and abetting a foreign power in a war time situation which is what he did withholding weapons, like near a half BILLION dollars worth to the Ukraine until they make up BS about Joe Biden, talk about a desperate MF, eh.
Then not even MENTIONING the bounty put on American soldiers in Afghanistan by Putin even though they had at least 6 phone calls in the past 3 months.
Putin has something BIG over Trump or else you wouldn't see him kissing Putin's arse like he did in Helsinki.
To me that makes Trump a TRAITOR.
And he wants to screw up the US postal service so mail in votes cannot be counted which is his way of saying he can only win if he cheats.
His Niece wrote a SCATHING book about him and his own sister has had a phone conversation leaked where she says he cannot be trusted among other things,
She is the one who had to step down from being a federal judge after showing she had cheated along side Trump on their tax returns which is another bit of corruption Trump is DESPERATELY trying to keep out of public hands.
@sonhouse saidI’m sorry to hear about your wife, really. That sounds troublesome and I can see how all consuming it would be for you both. All the best to her for a swift recovery.

So I’m not having a go at you about this. I’m just honestly bewildered that after me posting actively on this site for 12 years and especially the last 5 or 6 in this forum, all the Brexit stuff etc, that you ask me if I’m an American voter. It’s not a big deal and I’m sorry if I triggered you.
But is Trump a traitor, I don’t know about that, maybe. He is a greedy narrow-minded ideologue who’s vision is limited and yet contains key elements which appeal to a large sector of American voters and it’s a problem for your country. You democrats need to build an equally compelling vision which is broad enough to win enough of the centrists, those moderate Republicans who will swing Democrat if they see a strong economic strategy within the manifesto. Compromise will be required and it’s not straightforward.

Oh really? For someone who "can't stand Trump" you write a lot of posts here defending him. Pardon me if I'm a bit skeptical. 😏

I imagine this doesn't really pan out.
And what a giant accusation.
