@mott-the-hoople saidUnless they have an agreement to contrary (some places put all the tips in a pool and split it amongst the staff), an owner who doesn't give the tips to the staff is committing embezzlement. While I'm sure there are thieves out there, I doubt it's very common for owners to steal from their staffs.
never said that (eye roll) I say paying by card gives the owner 100% control of where the tips go.

@mott-the-hoople saidHas everyone noticed how questions such as this one and all of mine are very simple and to the point? good question Mott. They won't answer, I have at least 10 questions out there, I think I will ask them all again.
who did you give the tip to?
I mean, if a lib wants a living wage, I simply want to know how an employer would pay a living wage to an unmarried, debt free waitress with no children, who works at Joe's deli. ........and at the same time, pay a living wage to a divorced mom of with financial problems.
Would he pay the job....? In other words, would he figure the wage should be normally $16/hr, so just pay them both $16/hr.? Would that qualify as a living wage for each waitress?
Why won't they answer questions? So simple
@creastalia saidYet another nick.
You can abolish the tipped minimum wage so that the ordinary minimum wage applies, without banning tips. People will just tip less over time. It will resolve itself in the long term.
Just go away, OK?
