Yes, I do (both are pronounced identically with three syllables) but it is too petty a point to keep arguing about in this thread. If you want to start a separate thread about such an important matter, I'm sure posters would flock to make their opinion known.

    Marianne - mar-i-anne

    Mary Ann - mer-e an

That will be my last comment in this thread about this.

That is exactly correct. Socialism is best for this small society of 11 people . Communism, collectivism, anything can work. But, hey, you heard it here first.... it cannot work for 300 million people. Yes, on the island we all pool our resources and thank God for health happiness and friendship . And pray that the scientist can get us back to our huge country, where ...[text shortened]... op a socialistic practices!!! Or, we can spread out each day and try to get other peoples’ stuff !!
The type of cooperative egalitarian system that would be most conducive to survival on the island is also the one that is most conducive to survival in a society of 300 million as it is based on human nature. A grossly unequal, exceedingly hierarchical system such as unregulated and unrestrained capitalism invariably produces leads to strife and conflict as it can only be maintained by force and/or threat of force. The Mr. Howells of the world require troops to enforce their "private property rights" when those rights lead to poverty and deprivation for those arbitrarily deprived of the use of the Earth's resources. That is a sure recipe for conflict, unrest and violence.

Yes, people do live in such societies and most societies on Earth since prehistoric times have adopted such hierarchical systems. But just because a tiger can survive in a 10' by 10' cage in a zoo doesn't mean it enjoys it or normally thrives in it. Ditto for humans who are naturally empathic, social and egalitarian but are forced into social systems that are at war with their natures.

    Whoah, abusing the capital's there,
For once I agree with you!
    Too lazy to use [ b ] & [ /b ]

btw: "whoa" is the correct spelling.
And I assume the superfluous apostrophe was just an attention grabber?

Nonno no no!!!!! Line 6.....The Howells of the world require LAWS!!!, not troops!, to enforce their rights to private property. Then, you follow with this....., Howell's house, that he owns for some aracane reason, leads to poverty and deprivation of other people?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? How in the WORLD is connected to their lives and their pursuit of the same happinesses!??

Yes, it is definitely a recipe for conflict in YOUR world, which says, go after these rich people!! What if he owns McDonalds on Main Street and it gets closed down the next day? The unrest and violence you speak of will SURELY begin then, when your developing child cannot get french fries and court his girlfriend.

I am an analogy guy, and just do not get yours about the tiger in the cage. Please rephrase and bring it back around. Are you people really going to go after the guys who make McDonalds?!!?!?!?!?!?!??!!??!?!????!!!

Pull what off exactly? What is Trump going to do to reign in fat boy?

    Nothing, that's what.

They are just using each other. Trump will use these meetings to tout how he is the first President to address the North Korea problem and stopped fat boy from playing with his missiles and the fat boy gets attention, something he demands.

    See, everyone's happy.

Trump should have gone to Vietnam earlier but he has bone spurs.

I won't argue that.....its all in the game. We will wait to see who wins, I will bet on Trump. Since Rocket man may be tired of, and maybe have made a mistake of, the 3-day train, trump could REALLY exhibit to him what success is like if he gives ole Un a ride back home on AIR FORCE ONE!!

Trump taking Air Force One to North Korea is a great idea.

Good point. But then, why would I want to 'impress ' that little killer anyway. there are other ways. Watch your man Trump. Genius negotiator, knows how to wait people out, if you will. I think he gave the Russians some fake intel in the Oval Office in exchange for some Russian secrets. I could be wrong. Darn it, I wish he would tell me what he is thinking with everything he does!!@!@@@@
