@yo-its-me saidGunpowder.
Is there one singular human advancement that has only advanced humans? As in not disadvantaged us at all?
Because I can't think of one. Not one!! There must be one....?
People who manufacture it earn an income.
People who use it help keep the world population from getting too high.
@kevcvs57 saidIm very aware. I know the last nuclear bombs used on people were the Japanese over 60 yrs ago. Im also aware that arms proliferation is the reason for peace., and not the cause of war. Equally armed sides find peaceful solutions. Maybe you need a psych101 course to figure out why, but any 10 yr old kid can explain it to you. There are however some fools that like to fight and kill no matter the odds and maybe you are emotionally attached to some of these sickos who are getting their butts kicked. That seems to be the issue here.
I guess your totally unaware that happens today all the time, now can you show me the blue prints for your medieval nuclear Arsenal and ye olde barrel bomb factory?
@yo-its-me saidPeople get run over by wheels all the time
Actually, I can't think of any disadvantage to the wheel. We've used it to kill (machine guns). But the invention itself, perhaps was too simple to have caused any harm to humans.
And, maybe the door.
Bread. Gluten is another thing, that's where Norman Borlaug's advancements have also disadvantaged us.
@shavixmir saidShoes lead to people having soft feet that get injured easily.
Shoes.
Sliced bread.
Pasturized milk.
Cutlery.
Back scratchers.
The condom.
Sliced bread makes eating too many empty carb calories too easy leading to obesity.
Pasteurized milk requires heat and sometimes people get burned.
Cutlery is sharp and stabby. Just ask OJ.
Back scratchers remove incentive for social grooming which is psychologically unhealthy.
Condoms make people think they are safe but then they get genital warts.
