@wildgrass saidThe Iranian leaders were mostly all killed. Those who replaced them were also mostly killed. Irans ability to produce nukes was severely hampered, and they have slowed down the massacre of civilians. If that is what Iran wanted then we agree.
You say subjectively that they are on the run, but Iran got everything they wanted from this deal and the US got nothing.

@wildgrass saidI was addressing the question by Kmax ... "In the final analysis what has Trump's war achieved and is America better off because of it?"
Wait, Iran signed a deal to kill their own leaders?
@Rajk999 saidUnless the final resolution is a better deal than Obama got with TPCOA, then the obvious answers to those questions are:

Nothing and No.
Trump knows this, and he knows that the deal is unreachable, that's why he's in a hissy fit.
The original post is asking if this deal is better than Obama's deal with Iran.
It's a useless and dead question because Iran never kept to their side of the deal or any deal.
They understand violence and they've been bombed into submission and the world will enjoy about 20 years without Iran having its own nukes.
That's a win.
@kmax87 saidProbably best to refrain from comment until an official, signed document is publicly released.
At this point if a ceasefire holds and the Israeli's leave Lebanon alone, the oil will flow. But Trump has to lift sanctions and pay back billions for the damage caused.
In the final analysis what has Trump's war achieved and is America better off because of it?
The credibility of both these governments are extremely low.

I assume you're referring to JPCOA. All evidence available to the public contradicts this statement.

Iran never let anyone inspect anything.
You think the USA is just going to take their word for it? 😂
@wildgrass saidThe families of the 40,000 dead Iranians think you are a damn fool. So do I.

During the period in which the agreement was in place, from 2015 until the time Trump tore up the document, Iran passed every IAEA inspection with flying colors.
All of the current enrichment was done AFTER the US backed out of the deal (and never replaced it). Yes, the Iran nuclear deal was flawed, but it was still much better than the path to escalation and war that came in its stead.
@wildgrass
Iran has unlimited oil for power generation.
They don't need nuclear power. It's just a ruse so they can make a nuke.
You're giving religious extremists the benefit of the doubt?
Why were they enriching uranium?
@PuzZuLz saidNone of the governments involved should be given benefit of the doubt.

You're giving religious extremists the benefit of the doubt?
You're expecting a team of real estate developers to convince religious extremists to stop building a nuke?
