@AverageJoe1 said“Our society”?
Why , you are all over the place...i just hate it. What is a poster to do?
Speaking of crazies, did you see some of your brothers, climate crazies, interrupting a golf tournament yesterday? They did not have tickets, our society says people 'gotta have a ticket to get inside'. (I love that 70's song Signs....'YOu gotta have a membership card to get inside. !!" Are you some kind of collectivist?
@AverageJoe1 saidI knew you'd blame Trump.
I'm playing....I asked why not Columbia. Even McHill would surmise that I am asking the world why the Jan 6 rioters were prosecuted, but the people who rioted ....omg an insurrection by your standards.......at Columbia were Not prosecuted. That is my simple question. Why is The capitol riot which supposedly involved Trump prosecuted, but the Columbia riot is not pros ...[text shortened]... ion!!!
PS: I still don't know why y'all don't like Trump for President. Best get used to it. 😕
Anywho, I would think these Columbia folks would be harder to prosecute because they are masked and did not flaunt their vandalism on social media. Maybe they try, who knows.
On school property like this, trespassing is also a relatively minor offense compared to occupying a federal building while a joint congressional session was in progress.
Just.a.guess.. maybe this one's not about maga.
@AverageJoe1 saidUh, you do realise there’s a difference in attacking a university building or the seat of government, don’t you?
You see the constant conflict that we conservatives have to field day by day, doing the best we can, given that we cannot think like y'all do.
We will wait for a not-answer to this constant hypocrisy.

@AverageJoe1 saidLook up Project 2025.
Who said anything about the Heritage Foundation? Do you see the conflicts that your conflicted minds put us conservatives through.....I could just scream. Heritage Foundation? Are you on the right Forum, good man. You always seem about to explode, and we never know or understand why.
Anyway, yes, Church and State should be separate. Whew.
Brought to you by those America-haters, the Heritage Foundation.

@AThousandYoung saidMe? No response to the issue? Why are you libs so personal? So, What if I am what you think I am? Look back over all the posts, note all the libs write in a personal nature. It dilutes discussions of interest. Sad.
“Our society”?

@shavixmir saidBreaking the law in each case. Prosecute the law breakers. But you imply that only the capitol riot warrants prosecution? You want to re-write that, Shav?, Maybe say, yeah Joe, you got a point.
Uh, you do realise there’s a difference in attacking a university building or the seat of government, don’t you?
Y'all are breaking down at the seams with the onslaught of the election on the horizon. Hey, do you know that the cost of living is up 22% since Biden took office? Would you write a thread on that? I mean, since you say to not prosecute law breaking, tell us why the 22% is no problem.
@wildgrass saidHard to prosecute???

@AverageJoe1 saidThe steps one must take when a university building is stormed are different than when the seat of government is stormed.

If you can’t see that, stop talking to me.
@shavixmir saidYou view this breaking of the law…..this breaking of the law by people…from the point of view of “The steps one must take??” OK, what steps are usually taken by law enforcement when a law is broken?

What in the world are you about here? Geez.
@AverageJoe1 saidThe issue is you think trump did it. Trump doesn't want Columbia protestors to be prosecuted?
Ok. You are not a prosecutor. Now back to the issue.?
@wildgrass saidThe issue, Wildgrass, is that the law was broken in both instances, but only one was prosecuted. That is the issue.
The issue is you think trump did it. Trump doesn't want Columbia protestors to be prosecuted?
Mention of Trump is only to suggest that the Capitol prosecution was brought as part of the incessant persecution of the man. But that , Trump, is not the issue. Let us take him off the table.
2 instances of violent law breaking. Prosecute one and not the other? Why, Wildgrass?
@AverageJoe1 saidJoe. Are you a muppet?

Does someone have one hand up your arse, whilst they flick your balls with the other?
You can’t compare storming a library with storming the seat of government. And the punishments will reflect this.
Remove the inserted hand for a second.
Say someone sets fire to someone’s trash-can they’ve set on the street for the dustmen to collect. Do you think this person deserves the same punishment as someone who sets a trash-can on fire in their kitchen?
No. Don’t be a silly bugger. Obviously, even though it is the same act, it’s a completely different set of circumstances.
