You said this:
"Most of them bogus"
Apparently most studies doesn’t prove anything to you either. You just destroyed your own argument that studies meant something. Now you cannot prove anything.
@vivify saidNotice that your well thought out post of your "opinion" gets 4 thumbs downs. Weird, totally, independent thought not allowed?
I like Joe Rogan's podcast and have been listening to him long before the pandemic. His podcasts usually have a nice relaxing vibe about them and he usually displays an open mind when interviewing guests.
Rogan promoting Covid information is quite unfortunate. He always came across as more thoughtful than that.
As a follower of Rogan's podcast, I can tell you all tha ...[text shortened]... is wrong about ivermectin. But he should not be lumped in with the Jimmy Dores and Steven Crowders.
@metal-brain saidFrom the article:
I am asking you. Did you even read the article?
"The FDA has not authorized or approved ivermectin for the treatment or prevention of COVID-19 in people or animals. Ivermectin has not been shown to be safe or effective for these indications."

@jimmac saidI think people were seeing my defense of Rogan as a defense of ivermectin.

Usually, people praised by MB are right-wing nuts, so I guess people assumed that about Rogan. Just shows that we can use a little more nuance on this forum, rather than the all-or-none style of attacking other that people on both sides use.
@Metal-Brain
I don't think this controversy is as much about Joe Rogan as it is about Spotify.
Joe Rogan a THREAT to corporate media? Are you joking? His licensing deal with Spotify is worth over $100 million. He is corporate media.
Of course Rogan should be able to have whoever on his podcast to discuss whatever he wants. Until he signs a $100 million deal with Spotify. Then it's up to Spotify whether or not to air it, along with their diverse platform of other programming. It's totally normal for corporations to make decisions what content they want to air, and they have chosen to air disinformation that doesn't sit well with ol' Neil Young.
This is fine. Capitalism doing its job.
@metal-brain saidYou should be aware that Rogan has all types of people on his show. He's had people like Bill Maher and Bernie Sanders. He's also had Neil deGrasse Tyson, who is not political but debunks climate change deniers.
The more idiots who attack Joe Rogan the more people like him and his popularity is soaring because of it. Thank you idiots.
He's not your ally just because he had that "mass formation psychosis" guy on his show. He's truly independent and will have guests and opinions that piss you off as well as liberals.

@wildgrass saidCorporate media will not have Dr. Robert Malone speak to people on their networks. Big difference.

@vivify saidNeil deGrasse Tyson is political and he never debunked AGW skeptics because they never denied climate change ever. Climate has always changed.

@metal-brain saidRogan puts across many viewpoints that I like and many that I find absolutely absurd.
So many people tune in to Joe Rogan it is impressive. He even seems to be a threat to the corporate news media. The result is he is being attacked by Neil Young, Howard Stern and the Surgeon General. They are calling for censorship of Joe Rogan.
As usual, people are accusing Rogan of spreading misinformation. None of them will specifically say what is the misinformatio ...[text shortened]... ck Joe Rogan the more people like him and his popularity is soaring because of it. Thank you idiots.
But that's fine. His guests are information sources, like anything else.
But it's amusing that the left wing news figures and outlets calling for his removal from Spotify are so lost in their own bubbles that they think they're going to win hearts and minds this way.
@shavixmir saidyou are spreading misinformation… Ivermectin does work
???
Seriously. All you can do is twist words and meanings around to suit your little rabbit hole.
Ivermectin exists. Yes it does. It’s not a treatment for covid that works.
And you know perfectly well that’s what I mean. Either that or you are seriously as thick as you sound.
