I know but when you buy a home using the VA they have you on the list for Medical. You don't have to re-register.

Wow.....I stand corrected. Didn't know that. But i never used my VA home loan ability. First house I bought the seller stipulated that a VA home loan would not be acceptable. Don't know why.

He was trying to make more money. If you qualified for a home loan and the seller steered you away from a VA loan it was because VA sets a limit on % points and he wanted to make more money.

My God....a perfect example of what I said. If you recieved an honorable discharge, you may apply to the VA for free (almost)medical care. For life.

There is a small charge for services, dependant upon your income, but it's laughable. Like pennies on the dollar.

Go to the VA and apply, get an ID card, and take advantage of it. Bring your DD-214 ...[text shortened]... en advantage of it. I did it twice, after serving in the army, then the air force.

Jebus.
Actually, medical care for ALL veterans was discontinued some years ago. You can now only received medical for injuries sustained during and because of your military service. The amount of medical care depends on your % of disability. Don't go thru the VA, find a local Disabled American Vets Center to guide you thru the anal examination.
There's a VA Hospital in Phila.Pa.

Odd......I'll have to inform the VA of that when I go in for my yearly appointment, I don't think they're aware of it.

Check out VA eligibility site. You are in error.

I was wrong again. But i had a heck of a time getting treatment for anything but war related injuries. And, of course, you must have a VA hospital near you.

Seems like the VA went through a bad period about 25 years ago until there was a public uproar over poor service, etc., and they went through a big campaign to improve things. I can go in the emergency room now and get treated immediately if my big toe is swollen.
