Robinson was breaking down a racial barrier that excluded Black players from Major League Baseball. He wasn’t preaching that baseballplayers should live in racially diverse neighborhoods, while then chooosing to live in an overwhelmingly white neighborhood .

My point about Kamala is the potential contradiction between preaching diversity as a ‘social value’ and then Choosing, when given complete personal freedom, to live in a neighborhood that is 94% white. If she believes racial diversity is important, it’s fair to ask whether she applies that principle to her own choices. Robinson’s decision to play baseball had nothing to do with that question.

But understand, consistency between the principles Harris advocates publicly and the choices she makes privately. Yes, . Living there doesn’t automatically make her a hypocrite, but if she expects others to embrace diversity while choosing something very different for herself, I think it’s fair to question that consistency.
