I had a lawn maintenance and snow removal business for over a decade. I used professional leaf blowers in the fall to remove all leaves from yards; large yards usually. It saved me hours upon hours of raking these yards by hand. I blew the leaves in large piles, raked them onto a large tarp, and then with two people picked up the corners of the tarp and dumped the lea ...[text shortened]... th. So laugh it up.
Btw, I did not give you a thumbs down; I understand that it can be annoying.
Ok these are fair points. I would be willing as a trade-off to pay gardeners more money for the time spent taking leaves in exchange for a quieter Saturday.

Personally I just mow the leaves into the yard, but I know some like to dispose elsewhere.

Can we all agree that leaf blowers should be banned?

All day, every Saturday, for the whole summer, leaf blower noises echo through every neighborhood in America (unless they've been banned). Noise pollution, particulate pollution, air pollution, all just to move leaves and grass clippings from one side of the yard to the other, only to have the wind just blow them back ...[text shortened]... communities.

Honestly, what's the counter-argument? Can we just get rid of these things for good?
Leaves should generally be left where they fall. They protect and nourish trees, shrubs and flowers and provide insect habitat. πŸ˜†

Leaves in grassy areas can be mulched during mowing or raked lightly to define a bed. Definitely don’t need to be blown.

My neighbor rakes his leaves and brings them to the curb, where I claim them and put them on my beds (I know he doesn’t use pesticide).

I’m a net leaf importer. πŸ˜†

Now, I do the same myself. However, they're are yards with many trees that do have to remove the leaves; there are just to many.

A lawn punctuated with trees is artificial. Each tree should be bedded with leaves up to the drip line. πŸ˜†

You can have a lawn or a wood. πŸ˜†

In a garden, I see the point of leaving leaves where they be. Nature knows no waste.

However, on a cycle path, I prefer pavement under my tyres -- leaves, especially when wet & in a curve, are a hazard.

I hate them more than you do. We can't vent about it a neighborhood gatherings, cause we all do it. I suggest we all do it same on same time, Monday afternoon. We go to a movie or dart competition. But, nooooooo, some of us use the same guy, he can't hit them all at once.
If leaves did not smother and kill gras, I would say just leave them there all year. make good mulch. But, then we have mulch!!
Answer: I would bring the hated Musk to a meeting...he would invent a soundless leaf blower. As he is not being paid for DOGE work, i am sure he would not charge us for his brain. But SOMEBODY< maybe Moonbus, would give the man hell!!! Or Marauder would want his by nightfall, We just would not invite Sonhouse.

lol.. Actually, it's the lawns that are artificial; the trees are natural. πŸ˜› πŸ˜‰

For YOU little feller, I'll do \YOUr lawn for free. Just pm me YOUr address and it's done. πŸ˜‰ πŸ™‚ It will be the most beautiful and spectacular lawn in the USA. Nothing will compare. I have the best workers in the whole USA; the bestest I say. All other lawn services should be impeached; as YOU will see.

I think some of your friends want you to hire more employees, whether you need them or not, because they have to have jobs.

Of course they have to have jobs before they get old and retire. Now it sounds like YOU don't want people to work because YOU think that there is not enough work. YOU really make no sense little feller; other than YOU wish that YOU could have a threesome with Dump and Musk-rat. I'm sure that YOU would love starting at the bottom, and then working YOUr way way up their arse. However, YOU're just to little, little feller. πŸ™‚

Put the bottle down and take a look around little feller; YOU can't even spell. I don't even know what YOU're trying to say it spelled so bad. Call me in the morning with YOUr address and I'll get to work on YOUr lawn ASAP. πŸ™‚ I'm sure I have the best workers in your area. The best-est. πŸ™‚

This is modern living. Blow cash to buy labor-saving devices, then blow more cash buying exercise equipment or a gym membership to make up for the exercise one isn't getting while using the labor-saving devices.

Meanwhile, buy a leaf blower that blasts away good topsoil, leaf detritus, and beneficial insects, then go buy bags of mulch and fertilizer to make up for the loss of soil nutrients. As for the dead leaves that make the best fertilizer, that gets wrapped up in plastic bags and sent to a landfill. Absolutely brilliant.

Incidentally, electric- and battery-powered leaf blowers make only about 1/8 the noise of a gas-powered model, so that's the way to go if someone really has to have one for some reason. When I want to blow the accumulated dust and leaves out of my garage I just use a shop vac set on reverse.

Don’t know about your children but our nest has been “chick” free for decades so I am the lawn care and snow removal go to person. I’m too frugal to hire outside help.πŸ˜²πŸ˜‰πŸ˜
