@averagejoe1 saidYour posts are childish, partisan blather.
You know, Marauder, as the old joke goes,,,,," I don't believe I'd a told that". You are saying what a fool he was to announce that, and yet do nothing about the Americans there. He is crap, but you are never going to relent, pride can be a terrible thing.
Trump announced a date for withdrawal yet I do not recall you screeching in outrage about it last year.
Many of the Americans left in Afghanistan are contractors (and their families) and others who worked for the Afghan government. Obviously they didn't wish to leave while the survival of that government seemed possible. Should Biden have forced them to leave in April?
@averagejoe1 saidI really hate the personalizing of posts.
So you think everything is hunky dory. I won't venture an analogy, but would you be all-so-giddy if your Missionary sister were stuck in there? Tell us.
There is reason for concern for any person in an area in the immediate aftermath of a war. The US government and particularly the soldiers in Afghanistan seem to be doing a good job in getting people evacuated despite the difficulties. Every American should be hoping that the evacuation is successful by the deadlines. Instead, right wingers seem to be hoping that Americans get kidnapped or killed for purely partisan reasons. This is contemptible.
@no1marauder saidI'm not wedded to the news like you, you seem to know everything that is going on, and everything that has gone on.It is likely you just learned about the Trump withdrawal recently on one of your web searches,,,,,that, you paid no attention to it atthe time. I could be wrong. Me, I didnt pay attention, must have been on a sabbatical and missed that one, so, like Trump, and like Biden, I am not perfect.

If Trump did announce, it makes me now very angry. I guess Trump was wrong. Has Biden ever been wrong? Hillary? How bout Bernie, who lies, like when he says, like you do above, that all have a right to healthcare. That is a lie. But I digress, and am probably off issue. But herein, I make good points for all to mull over.
@averagejoe1 saidIs actually reading my posts soooooooooooo hard? I specifically said I don't believe there is a right to health care.

And Bernie isn't lying when he says there is; we have a philosophical disagreement what a "right" is.
@no1marauder saidYou use the word hope in your post twice. Yet it is not much of. a word, I hardly know what it means. Does it mean, for instance, Wish????
I really hate the personalizing of posts.

And note, you segue from my question which you will not and can not answer, and write about soldiers doing a job, and somethng about reasons, partisan or some such, and you write about hope. I hope it doesn't rain tomorrow.
Now, come back about this post being childish and partisan. No, it is quite adult and factual..... The main fact being that you will not answer the question.
@sonhouse saidWhose record??
@Eladar
It's a matter of record. Trump is THE worse POTUS in American history and that will be proven.
Could there be another one that has a different viewpoint? Let's get Marauder on it, I am going to play golf. He'll find it, I guarantee you. Hey, you are all missing Biden, reading a speech. Live!!! Well, he's not exactly live.
@no1marauder saidYou specifically said you don't believe that there is a right to healthcare. I believe you, because it would be ruination of the country. But did you not say a while back that you believe that a just society should make it a right, that all citizens are entitled to free health care? What are you saying, then? You are correct, it is not a right, which Bernie lied about. But you are protecting that socialist by saying it has to do with the definition of the word. Like Clinton, it depends on what the def of 'is' is. You are like Clinton?

@averagejoe1 saidI said a just society should provide medical care to those who need it, not that it was a "right".

Bernie didn't lie; he believes that health care is a right. Do you know what a lie is?
@eladar said"Required" is a strange word in this context.
Quick question...
Who is required to provide the health care to which everyone has a right or society provided?
Is it a computer or a person?
Society generally has people who do things like police, social workers, etc. etc. Some are directly protecting rights, some are doing tasks that the majority of the People find necessary and/or desirable. The folks doing things are hired to do so and reimbursed accordingly.

WRONG...police should abide by the laws set forth by elected officials.
@mott-the-hoople saidNo one suggested they shouldn't.

@eladar saidA good point. A right must be given, or come from somewhere. If you live forever alone in a forest, a right would have no meaning. If there are others, then if one allows you to sit by the campfire, your right to sit by that fire comes from some entity.

So marauder, please tell Eladar and us where the right comes from.
