Who started the term "Lockdown" to describe a stay at home order?
Yes it is, and if you're so dead set against it, I encourage you to go out and mix and mingle with whoever you want as is your God given right as an American, but don't start bitching if you come down with COVID-19. These lockdowns are put in place to save lives, not to incarcerate anyone. So please, shed your shackles and exercise your freedom - - and take your chances! 😏
@metal-brain saidWhen used in a prison context, perhaps.

'Lockdown' also means 'a state of isolation or restricted access instituted as a security measure.'
That seems appropriate.
@mchill saidI've added the columns % Covid of All Death by Age Group, and Deaths/10^5 Pop By age Group, and removed the other columns. The original data set can be found at:

@eladar saidSo, what do you think about this lockdown
@mchill
So, what do you think about this lockdown but states like New York putting covid patients into nursing home containing the elderly?
Well - I'll tell you what I think of it. 1. It's boring, I normally work from home anyway, but not being able to take my wife to a restaurant or a movie is a bit of a drag. 2. It Works! My home state of Washington was once the epicenter of this virus in the USA, now we're barley in the top 20, and why? Because be listened to our doctors and scientists instead of politicians. 3. We have to change our work habits. The 1950's model of one person driving to a work site in their car, must be replaced with more home offices, and remote work sites. This will save companies the expense of renting office space, keep our air cleaner, and save employees gas, time, and wear on their cars. 4. I can't speak for New York, but I know what's working here.
@mchill saidOMG...are they actually filtering what we are saying? You completely ignored the question posed!

People like @McChill have apparently completely relinquished all cognition to third party providers without any struggle whatsoever. KatezTheGreat is proud of you soldier. You will be a general in the army of idiots someday.
@joe-shmo saidThat's right pal. I learned a long time ago, if one is not a physician, lawyer, engineer or other professional, don't try to be one, there is a reason why those people go through years of education and training. Maybe you could tell your stable genius in the White House that before he prescribes more Clorox injections for COVID-19 🙄
@McChill doesn't know. Better ask a physician.
@mchill
Lol, so you cannot think for yourself.
So you lockdown to stay away from people who have covid, but you think it is ok to bring a covid patient into your home to lockdown with you. Oh wait, you are not smart enough to know for yourself that is a bad idea.
A doctor organization spoke out against it.
