A lame cop out. That's there is an election upcoming doesn't relieve one of the responsibility of evaluating the veracity of claims using the best information available.

The WH's explanation defied credulity; the Atlantic story (elements which have been confirmed by other news agencies including Fox News) give a far more believable explanation given Trump's past actions and attitudes.

In view of all the attacks he already did on war hero's it is no leap of logic to see what he said 'losers and suckers' was true, he is enough of a snake to have said that. Especially considering he got out of serving in the military himself by daddy buying off a doctor, claiming 'Bone Spurs'. What a crock.
I did 4 years in the military and NEVER heard ANY president say the things he has said IN PUBLIC ON RECORD.
He is the sleaziest of the sleaze.
