@no1marauder saidGetting boring marauder. This is just one paragraph out of an article which I found on the Internet. It is enough to tell you that people smarter than you, a lot smarter than you and not pacifist like you are, think something had to be done to save the lives of all of us.
But Iran didn't have nukes and our intelligence services said there was no possibility they could get one for at least 10 years. And that was without a negotiated agreement like the one that was being worked on and the mediator we designated said was close to a deal. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/us-iran-deal-within-our-reach-oman-mediator-says/
Trump really thought ki ...[text shortened]... Iranian government to collapse and then they'd do whatever we told them to. The thinking of a child.
Revelations in the early 2000s about the country’s secret nuclear sites and research raised alarms in world capitals about Iran’s clandestine pursuit of a nuclear weapon. Iran’s nuclear program has since been the subject of intense international debate and diplomacy, which culminated in the 2015 JCPOA. The United States unilaterally withdrew from that agreement in 2018. Since then, international monitors say that Iran has greatly expanded its nuclear activities, again heightening concerns about its “breaking out” to develop a nuclear weapon.
International monitors say that Iran has greatly expanded its nuclear activities. YOU say that our intelligence services say no.
Golly, I sure would like to sit down with marauder and discuss all of this. We can figure out which entity is right!!!! But marauder, when we find that out and meet at the airport, what do we do with this newly found information that you and I have figured out?
Give me a break.

Yes, it was really stupid to withdraw from the JCPOA. I wonder what idiot did so?
Anyway, you were gleefully repeating Trump's claim he had "obliterated" Iran's nuclear program last year. I guess you forgot about that.

@AverageJoe1 saidMoron, why don't you consider the possibility that the bomb could have been used to "impress" the Japanese by dropping it on a military target?
Truman a real president, I see a lot of Trump in his decision making. Shav doesn't think we should have bombed hiroshima, either.
No, not speaking jap laguage but we would today be missing a lot (mindboggling??) of great Americans lost in the jungles of japan with the hand to hand combat with vermin for several years.
The bomb was genius. They knew more than you do, little feller. You know nothing. Yeah, I just hate it, but, hey............
@Soothfast saidBefore writing inaneness, u might look back and see that the japs were NOT impressed, they were non-plussed with wasting Hiroshima, so we had to hit Nagasaki.
Moron, why don't you consider the possibility that the bomb could have been used to "impress" the Japanese by dropping it on a military target?
So, IRAN would NOT have been impressed, as is certainly evidenced now as they just keep it up.
Try again, you iran sympathizer, you
@Soothfast saidYeah, that would have shown them who's who . .. Lol.

@Rajk999 saidYou of course would consider it absolutely essential to straight-off murder as many civilians as possible, but many of those who are not terrorists at heart do think it would have been worth a try. The bomb should have been dropped on a naval shipyard or army base.
Yeah, that would have shown them who's who . .. Lol.

You are right in there with the Taliban and Al-Qaeda. Easily. Exact same mentality.
@AverageJoe1 saidThat doesn't negate my point. You apply 20/20 hindsight, and anyway if the Japanese didn't knuckle under after the vaporization of the first military target, there would remain the option to hit another.

Anyway none of this does anything to make your case that Trump's illegal was against Iran is justified. It isn't.

@moonbus saidThis is similarly the case with new babies. They do not understand Persistence. A useful example of this is to make a baby laugh by hiding your face behind your hands and then removing them. The baby doesn't understand that the face is still there (persistence) and genuinely thinks that the face has gone. Magically, it then reappears, thus funny.

EXPLAIN ALL THIS AS A WIN , or give it up
In early 2026, a sustained U.S.-Israeli air campaign has caused monumental damage to Iran's military, economic, and civilian infrastructure. Experts estimate total war losses at approximately $140 billion to $145 billion following weeks of intensive strikes.
Military & Strategic Damage
The offensive has systematically degraded Iran’s most sensitive strategic assets:
Nuclear Program: Critical infrastructure at three primary nuclear sites—including the hardened Fordo facility and Natanz—has been "obliterated" or rendered inoperable. Assessments suggest the program has been set back by 8 to 15 years.
Naval & Air Assets: The Iranian Navy has been described as "combat ineffective" after losing approximately 92% of its fleet, including all Soleimani-class warships. Numerous air bases, such as the Khatami and Mashhad bases, have sustained heavy damage to hangars and aircraft.
Missile Capabilities: More than 66% of missile and drone production facilities have reportedly been destroyed. Precision strikes hit sophisticated mixing equipment for solid fuel, which could take Iran a year or more to replace.
Leadership: Significant strikes have targeted the Revolutionary Guard (IRGC) and Basij headquarters. Up to 95% of Iran's top generals and senior military leaders were reportedly eliminated in the initial phases of the war.
Economic & Infrastructure Toll
The conflict has crippled Iran's ability to maintain basic social and economic functions:
Infrastructure Costs: Officially, infrastructure damage has crossed the $1.4 billion mark, though this is expected to rise as technical teams reach damaged power grids.
Energy Sector: Strikes on refineries, gas processing sites (such as the Tang-eh Bijar gas field), and export facilities have taken much of Iran’s energy capacity offline.
Transportation: Key logistics hubs, including ports at Bushehr and Qeshm, and major bridges have been hit to disrupt the movement of personnel and equipment.
Civilian & Cultural Impact
Casualties: Reports indicate a heavy human toll, with estimates of nearly 3,200 total deaths, including roughly 1,400 civilians.
Social Services: Over 760 schools and 442 health facilities have been damaged or destroyed, severely impacting basic services.
Heritage Sites: UNESCO has raised alarms over damage to more than 100 cultural and historic landmarks, including ancient mosques and palaces.

It is bad, no question, but nuclear destruction of their enemies (like the USA and Paris) would be worse. I get the feeling that stone-age people WANT this life. They want us to blow up their schools, where they teach Hate America, and their citizens, whom they kill if they let their hair show.
Time to put them down,.

Trump evidently thought that when Epstein died, the scandal would just go away.
Same mentality about deporting illegal aliens--get rid of them, and America's economic problems go away. Get rid of the Mullah in Iran and the nuclear weapons go away.
This has nothing to do failing mental health or advancing dementia. Trump was always like this; he ran five businesses into bankruptcy the same way. It's a fundamental cognitive deficit he's always had, and it is far more profoundly debilitating than mere malignant narcissism. The only thing that's changed recently is that the guardrails have been removed and his sycophants will do anything, including put people in concentration camps and go to war on squalid trumped-up pretexts. He thinks he can literally do anything he wants, because he's president, and his facilitators are terrified of provoking a tantrum from the Cantaloupe Caligula by telling him "No!" His parents failed to enforce any limits, and this is the result: a world in turmoil.
Recently, a news reporter challenged him about his mental health, and he responded in typical Trump fashion, "I don't care about critics." We know that he cares a great deal about what is reported about him in the press and on social media, in fact, he is obsessed with his media image and constantly strives to control how he is reported in the press. But, I would contend that his mental health is not the issue at all--it is a much deeper cognitive deficit of epic-infantile proportions which happens to be magnified by his self-inflated personality.
You will recall during his first term a constant refrain of "adults in the room" moderating his excesses; people close to him knew a long time ago how infantile he is cognitively. You will recall his statement during the early stages of the COVID pandemic: stop testing, then the numbers (of infections) won't look so bad. "If I close my eyes, you can't see me" mentality.

@Soothfast saidWrong. You like to play around with evil people, and the reason for that is that you are likely one of them. You are a sympathiser of communists, socialists, muslims and all types of terrorists. My view is when you meet these people in battle, which you must at some point, you finish the job, properly and completely so that there is no war to fight. With your philosophy the war never ends. In the case of Japan it worked perfectly. The war ended after the atomic bomds, and Japan went on to be a world class powerhouse in manufacturing and set up a society which is the envy of many.
You of course would consider it absolutely essential to straight-off murder as many civilians as possible, but many of those who are not terrorists at heart do think it would have been worth a try. The bomb should have been dropped on a naval shipyard or army base.
