Never supported either.
When they were challenged, I seem to recall,
they were upheld as The State claimed that the
injuries inflicted upon non-helmet wearers were,
too often, paid for by the taxpayer dollars.
Anymore, The Feds just say, to states,
do it any way you you want to do it but, we (The Feds),
have the right to withhold matching funds earmarked
for highway construction and maintenance.

Lots of good points here about freedom restrictions. The partisan-ality of it all is showing through folks. Let's have a conservative say that women can choose whether to give birth or not. Let's have a lib-tard say that men who don't sleep with guns under their pillows are killing their families.

Im waiting for someone to cross the partisan divide here.

You do not think that there is an hypocrisy in the conservative stance between their ‘belief’ in personal sovereignty and their position on abortion, gender realignment or simply being gay?
Mmm you conservatives are strange fruit indeed.

For the 5 millionth time I'm a libertarian, as opposed to the personal controls of the right as the financial controls of the left. There aren't words to emphasize how little I care about your gayness kev.

Allow me. I am totally for the right of women, if you want to call it a right, to choose to have an abortion. I have always said that, don't paint me with that Nazi brush!!!!!

I see something wrong with invasion of the body of an American. We disagree. What if a certain Scottish person became a citizen here, and it was discovered that disease can be transferred by the un-circumsized. So, this certain Scot is required to be cut. They drag him out of his house and take him to the hospital.
I know you have a really good response, can't wait, but my point is made.
Joe, a seatbelt mandate is invading my body. The repetitive motion causes bursitis. The strap chafes my neck.

You pick and choose what freedoms are acceptable to trample on. Lady Liberty wags her finger.

You need to upgrade your belt. And the one you’ve got, put in a Museum of Oddities.
You libs. If your small child asks does the rain come fro clouds, you might say, well not exactly.
Geez O Petey

Now you're mandating that I buy a new car? Are you a closet lib?

Between you and Metal Brain saying I also need to buy a snowblower, this freedom thing is getting expensive.

The government telling me how to protect myself, where I can walk and what to shovel and you are fine with all of it.

Did Not say buy a new car. Everyone notice this perfect example, lib adds a factor that was not in the premise. The word car was not even mentioned., I said you need to upgrade your belt. The crappy belt was chosen, FREEly, by yourself and you find you made a mistake. You could turn to the government for a FREE new belt, but then that would not be fair to me, with my same belt that does not hurt. Faaaaaaaiiiirr is the key, This imbalance will never be solved in your reset society .

Don’t get your last sentence, govt telling us stuff. Whistle that down a tad and we can bat it around.. You know, a lot of the problems that libs keep thinking are problems can be solved by simply applying contract law.

So you see no hypocrisy in Trump saying attack and fight like hell but also said (because he had to) the attack was unamerican and such. Like they say, he speaks with forked tongue.
