That is why I settled here, not because it's 'White.' If Jamaica or Belize had offered that, I'd have settled in Jamaica or Belize; I like the climate better there.

I know of no country with a high % of black population and a low crime rate, even many of these small Caribbean islands have ridiculously high murder rates. Its not about colour of skin, but about lifestyle and culture.

In any case, I don't care who is doing the shooting in America. When the bullet enters your heart, you're not thinking about the skin color of whoever fired the shot. America has a gun crime rate which would be called civil war anywhere else. The gunshot death rate in sleepy Wichita KS was higher than it was during the height of The Troubles in NI, and that included paramilitary killings. When I was an undergrad, 5 fellow students invited me on a camping trip; I declined to study for an exam. They were kidnapped, shot, and left for dead. Fortunately all survived. The assailants (all White BTW) were caught, tried, convicted, and incarcerated. That story at least had closure.
One further reason why I left America is that the percentage of unsolved violent crime is very high. Whatever one may think of the court system or the sentencing or the laws, if the police can't even deliver a suspect, then justice has failed. America has miserable policing. The stats are simply appalling: 47% of homicides, 69% of assaults, 74% of robberies, and a whopping 77% of rapes -- all unsolved. Worse still, the trend is getting worse.

There are two very obvious reasons why policing in America is failing. Police forces in America have much less training than in other countries, and there are too many weapons in general circulation (the general public often has heavier artillery than the police are allowed to carry).
