LOL 600,000 LOL. Big deal. There's 350 million people in America. That means you're less than 1/5 of 1 % of the American population. LOL You're a joke. lol

So is this legit or not? Just because it is 2 years old does not mean it is not on the table. After all, to tackle this before the election would have been suicide.
It is legit. The left has long looked at any pile of money and thought how much better they could manage it.

This will keep coming back like heartburn, and may be passed as the "only way to save Social Security".

Are you seriously arguing that it would be alright to abuse the rights of 600,000 people who saved for their retirement, to benefit those who didn't?

This clown is unhinged to the point of dissociative disorder. I'm guessing 20, 22 years old with no girlfriend.

Since the passage of Social Security no Democrat has done anything to make it more sound from an actuarial standpoint. Ronald Reagan did the best job of shoring it up for a limited time period, but the program is headed for a crash, and Medicare a long time before SS.

The recipient class will be fighting mad when not only are their COL adjustments gone, but they get that notice that their check has been suspended.

I admire your confidence that people who have earned and saved will be OK. That hasn't been historically the case, as the rabble is always numerically superior to those who have produced and saved.

Actually I was NOT referring to retirement benefits at all. But only the right wing nuts in America like sausquatch and Whodey.
Anyways, I haven't heard a thing about Obama trying to set up a national retirement plan for Americans. I'm sure it's all just right wing hype. If anything I'm sure Obama is just trying to SAFE guard peoples retirement money saved from being ripped off in the stock market like what happened during this last great crash due to Bush and the right wing Republicans. And don't forget Enron were people lost billions of their retirement funds. Which Bush and Cheany had their hands all over and were most likely going to prison over. But then all the sudden 911 happened and everyone forgot about it. Isn't that amazing.

Social security is doing just fine and is self funded as is for at least 20 + more years. And with a couple minor changes will be just fine forEVER.

Medicare is a different story. It needs help and changes made and it needs that done now. It's only good as is for a couple more years.

I'm certain you have all those things. I'm equally certain your emotional growth stopped in early adolescence.
