" China, a developing country that is known to be a hub for sweatshops due to relaxed labor laws, high population and low minimum wage"

https://www.cnbc.com/2018/12/07/nightmare-at-chinese-factories-making-hasbro-and-disney-toys.html

"Chinese factory workers producing toys for Hasbro, Disney, and Mattel and are being subjected to “nightmare” working conditions".

Duchess has some stunning ignorance regarding China's poverty. Duchess will predictably attack the source claiming all western media that reports anything negative about China is biased. I'm done arguing well-known facts. She's like a Trump supporter arguing racism doesn't exist.

Average salary US- $39K (approximate); China $13,500
Number of $billionaires - US 585; China 819

Something tells me that China has a huge wealth distribution gap.

It's about time these issues worry us, especially with global warming and pollution. Humans are laying the groundwork for their own destruction.

You do realise that those numbers do not prove your claim if you take population size and the difference in purchasing power of $1 in the two countries?

On the other hand if your car is heading straight for a brick wall your probably better off doing an emergency brake procedure and worrying about the mental health implications of braking to sharply later.
Unless your convinced that the things on your list aren’t happening or that their not an existential threat.

Your probably right but given the astronomical odds against the preferred first option we’ll probably have to settle for the ‘headless chicken’ second option and hope we blunder off in the right direction.

The young are certainly vulnerable to info overload given how much time they spend online in one form or another. Gone are the days when the real world was restricted to Monday through Friday and everyone chilled the *#=& out for a couple of days.
