-Removed-Well I’m not religious but I do miss the ‘Sacred Sunday’ thing in terms of the wider world not expecting anything of you. It’s the same at crimbo and new year, I can remember when you had to really stock up for both because you weren’t getting a shop for 2 or 3 days but once one retailer broke the seal it was a race to the bottom and now I think you maybe have to google which of the big shops is shut for half a day.
I don’t think it’s unrelated to the escalation of mental health issues. Alternatively there’s not a problem beyond me morphing into my mother and I’m not sure which is worse.
