Where you see skin colour as the correlating factor I see poverty and deprivation, lack of life chances and the cyclical dysfunction that goes along with these factors.
Of course there is still some individual responsibility, but to ignore all the socioeconomic common denominators and just cite skin colour leads to a race based argument.
Of course the bleeps should not be judged by the actions of a few, same as those responsible people that want to own a gun for whatever reason they like should not be judged by the actions of a few either.
