President Barack Obama quietly overturned the "global gag rule" Friday, allowing U.S. foreign-aid dollars to flow again to international family-planning programs that offer abortion or advocate for abortion rights.
Spread your legs, have unprotected sex and we will pay for your abortion, yep GREAT IDEA.

Still don't understand why people can not grasp the concept of contraception.

Did you know teenage pregnancy rates are ten times lower here than in the US?

Not really. Abortion => less unwanted kids => population boom slows => more food, water, land, energy to go around => less violence.
why not invest in education for people, instead of financing the high-scale murder of innocent lives?

Obama promised in his election campaign to reduce the numbers of abortion (... saying this he reached out to the Reps and asked for coöperation and "working together" in this matter).

I'm afraid this blunt decision of his is not quite the way to proceed in that direction. I hope he'll have a follow up which makes clear that he meant what he said .... but I'm not holding my breath .....

This whole idea is a great way to lower the population of the rest of the world. This will allow the US to easily control them. Obama is a man of vision.

While contraception is the better choice in most instances, there are situations were abortions are necessary. If I'm not mistaken, the gag rule stopped funding to all organizations which gave the choice, so in effect it wasn't "we won't fund abortions", but more "we will fund neither abortions, nor contraception".

Huh? How is avoiding unwanted pregnancies a waste of money?
Looks to me like the previous way involved pretending there's no such thing as abortion.
Having abortions is not a way to avoid pregnancies. It is a way to end a pregnancy and to kill an unborn child.

Performing an abortion ís an act of violence.

Obama made a specific promise during his campaign to end the global "gag rule". So far, he's been keeping his explicit promises. If people didn't like his campaign promises, they should have voted against him.

Good decision.
Now the US isn't only killing born children in the third world, but has now decided to also finance and promote the killing of unborn children. I don't think it's a good decision at all.

A program to make people aware of natural means of birth control, which do not cost any money but which do ask self control, self respect, respect for the other and for human life, would be better for all ... but I'm afraid that the pharmaceutical industry would not give their consent to this. They would lose billions of dollars if this program would be succesful. In their eyes it is better to keep people uninformed and ignorant about these natural methods and at the same time make people dependent on their products.
