The US has sent a team of nuclear physicists to help BP plug the "catastrophic" flow of oil into the Gulf of Mexico from its leaking Deepwater Horizon well, as the Obama administration becomes frustrated with the oil giant's inability to control the situation.

The five-man team – which includes a man who helped develop the first hydrogen bomb in the 1950s – is the brainchild of Steven Chu, President Obama's Energy Secretary.

He has charged the men with finding solutions to stop the flow of oil.

He probably wants to have your valuable views on the employment of nuclear technicians in the Gulf of Mexico where their presence may be interpreted by some as an attempt to nuke Mexico in order to stem the flow of illegals into the USA.

nuclear physics has some application to the field of well logging.

what has it got to do with plugging or siphoning holes?

other than sharing the same field of study as the Secretary of the Dept. of Energy?

unless they're going to nuke the hole?

So you can't be bothered to look into it and find the answer? So in effect, we are debating the fact that you have raised a question you can't be bothered to find the answer to because it has a blame-Obama angle? THAT's the debate??
