Speech transcripts are given to the press before a speech is made. In this case, the line delivered wasn't in the transcript because it wasn't planned to be in the speech. Maybe it was originally in, then omitted but Obama decided to deliver it off the cuff. Maybe it was an ad lib which explains why it's not overly clear. In any case, it's not much of a conspiracy to stop it from being heard when it shows up on youtube.

As a state legislator in Illinois, Obama supported banning the sale or transfer of all forms of semi-automatic firearms, increasing state restrictions on the purchase and possession of firearms.

In the past many totalitarian regimes passed gun control legislation, which was later followed by confiscation. Totalitarian governments such as Fascist Italy during World War II, as well as some Communist states such as the People's Republic of China are examples of this.

Well, it's not possible that we're going to need some kind of armed resistance to the govt here in the US. At least no more possible than me getting struck by lighting right now, and certainly not merely as a result of an Obama presidency. It's kind of silly to talk about such things so I'm not sure why you brought it up.
I will say however, that if something serious ever did happen here in America, I'd pick self-reliant (and armed) people like generalissimo and Eladar for my team right away. You? Well....hmmmm.

The difference is between a person who has been brought up to be a slave to whatever the state says and a person brought up to believe that citizens have certain rights. Those who are brought up in Nanny States are taught from the time they are born that what the government says is right and to walk in lock step and blindly accept whatever the all powerful government has to say.
