So if we get a 50% tariff on say Japanese TV's, that 1000 dollar set now has a 50% TAX paid by the people importing those goods and OF COURSE they are not going to just bite the bullet and say, Oh, we will eat that 50%, we will still just charge 1000 bucks.
NOPE, the new price will be with 50% added so the NEW price will be INSTANTLY 1500 dollars for the EXACT SAME PRODUCT.
And you think that is a GOOD thing?

Trump already SAID WHY he thinks tariffs are a beautiful thing.

BECAUSE he said he wants to completely eliminate the IRS and depend on Tariffs as the total income of the US, making taxes ZERO.

And you think THAT is a good thing?

So we get some 4 Trillion coming in from the IRS and now 4 Trillion will be lost to the bank accounts of every adult in the US.
But we couldn't get 4 trillion just depending on Tariffs in the first place and if there ever is another election for president, and a new democrat comes in as POTUS and even if we win both house and senate to more than 60% votes the damage to our country, our relations with our 80 year long alliances with foreigners are tainted so badly we may never go back to depend on THOSE former friends.

BESIDES the absolute systematic tearing apart of our government.
Such absolutely perverse cuts in our federal workers when for instance, Biden cut but after a long process of looking at each agency and deliberations to cut, but not Trump and the REAL POTUS Musk, they just throw a dart at the dart board which has the agencies listed on it, OH, the dart board says KILL US AID, ok, we have to go with the dart board, so no matter 20 MILLION people around the world depending on say AID meds who are in the middle of getting those meds are stopped immediately, no more aids meds for them AS JUST ONE EXAMPLE of the elephant in a china closet approach, no thinking, no deliberation, just closing the eyes, throw the dart and use that as the guide.
THE OPPOSITE of what cuts were made by Biden.

Trump just said Biden gave 350 BILLION to Ukraine and that as usual is a lie, the REAL number is 117 billion and EU gave 145 billion and he says RIGHT IN FRONT of the French president, THOSE ARE LOANS and Trump got his face slapped right in front of ALL of us on TV, where Macron corrected Trump THOSE ARE NOT LOANS.

So just a couple of days ago Trump said Won't Touch SS or medicare OR medicaid.

So cutting SS workforce in HALF is not screwing with SS?

So now each worker has to cover TWICE the load to do the payments to SIXTY SEVEN MILLION AMERICANS.

I have faith that it will all play out, there is no one in this country with more experience, combined with financial savvy and negotiating talent (he is the best) as is Trump.
So, here we are, we all find ourselves with just one president to do all this. Personally, I have always espoused having a triumvirate,,,,,3 presidents. Look how it would have saved us from the imbecile Biden.

OK, all very interesting. Not having a knee-jerk nature as all of you do, I have seen the tanking of Medicare provided by Sonhouse and will see what i can see of it. If it is as bad as you say it is, then I will have a problem. I don't need Medicaid, but I know many many do and what this says, of course, concerns me.

I asked SHouse a few day ago, plz show us where Trump will be hitting Medicaid to the tune of $800B. SHouse will not do it, i guess that he can not do it.
