Plenty of Muslims convert to Christianity, and few people care. Palestine is a secular country (or would be if the fascists didn't take it) and Hamas wants to keep it like that.

Hamas, for all its religious slogans, is actually no more supportive of a Muslim state than Fatah. It is just a political party with a different agenda. If things had gone slightly differently (if Arafat was a member of Hamas), then I would not support the PLO, but Hamas.
The only imperialist thing in the region is Israel.
