Why? I didn't believe it at first either, until I realized why.
After 1967, the Arabs fled the West Bank. They had just lost a huge chunk of their land. Settlers actually mostly stayed out until Israel invaded Lebanon in the 1980s. That's not too long ago.
The reason is that this generation of settlers is the first generation of settlers. Every one of them believes in a complete and total assimilation of the West Bank into Israel, else they wouldn't be living in Palestinian land.
The reason I asked you about that film was because one of those interviewed was a kid, maybe 10, who was a Zionist Jew and lived in a settlement. His views were deranged. All of their views were deranged, and he was just repeating what he was taught.
