Debates

We stopped investing in the science that will create new knowledge and future cures for diseases.

We allowed our governments to spend beyond its means for decades, generating tens of trillions in public debt that cannot be paid off in our lifetimes.

We ignored the obvious warnings of climate change that will necessitate future generations to make infrastructure investments to combat.

We supported systems of government that concentrated wealth in the hands of fewer and fewer families, preventing upward mobility for the vast majority of humans.

We knowingly poured thousands of tons of neurotoxic chemicals on the vegetables that kids eat everyday.

We built massive, energy-sucking machines capable of thinking on our behalf, dumbifying all of humanity for the first time in history and making us less capable of tackling these problems.

We set up our grandkids to have a poorer quality of life than we had. They will pay our debts, and they will resent us for that.

Only in Amerikkka. Other parts of the world are not backward.

EDIT; Trump‘s defunding of science is nothing less than a race to the bottom.

The last cure for a disease was polio? Over one hundred years ago?

Modern scientists suck. They haven't earned any respect period.

#1 WW3 resets the debt very easily.

#2 Revaluation of gold to 100k an ounce pays the debt off too.
If made up Bitcoin hit 150k and it's made out of thin air then gold can be revalued to 100k an ounce or more.
The American government has gold officially at 35 dollars an ounce. That's thirty five dollars an ounce. Nixon.

#3 Who decided what level of debt was too high?
With 40 trillion in debt, the entire world still wants American dollars and American customs and freedoms and business opportunities etc.

#4 Climate weirdos like you were screaming about an ice age during the 1970's
Then global warming and now "climate change" 🥱
You do understand that the planet has been warming and cooling since the beginning right?

The rest of.your points I can agree with, lemme check again. Ya okay, looks good.

Another thing about "climate change"

I've seen a British weather report from 2019 or slightly before and it had temperatures and green areas all over the screen. A perfectly normal weather report.

The same temperatures in 2025 had the whole screen in red like it was a picture from hell.

Climate B.S. is a scam to get the masses to allow the political class to steal tax dollars in the name of "saving the planet"

Nah, you're delusional. Climate change is real. The ice caps are melting. The ski season is shorter and shorter every year, the last 5 years have been the 5 hottest years on record, globally, the ocean temp and level are rising. You can cherry pick information all you want, and highlight when scientists were wrong, but everyone can feel it and see it and taste it and measure it so you can't gaslight your way out of this.

Europe has existed for thousands of years without needing air conditioning. Now they need it, and it's expensive.

@wildgrass

That weather report comparison was all over X.

Same temperatures, different years so why the "it's the end of the world because of climate change!!"

All publicly-held debt is immoral, unless temporarily imposed to deal with an emergency with a clear plan to pay it back.

Annually, the interest on US debt is $1.1 trillion. So, imagine a scenario where we didn't have to pay that bill but instead everyone pays less taxes.

Public debt is bad, very bad, and anyone who has brainwashed you to think otherwise should be arrested just like that lady who picked up a paint chip at the reflecting pool.

THE TEMPERATURE IS HIGHER NOW. THAT"S A PROVABLE FACT AND YOU WANNA USE A LOCAL NEWS ANECDOTE TO REFUTE THAT ARGUMENT?

Get out of town. Heretic.

@wildgrass

Also, the water level at NYC has been the same for 100 years.
Pictures prove this.

Go donate your own money to the climate scammers and stop demanding the government steal tax dollars to make.younfeelmgood about "fighting climate blah blah blah Bulls....

there will still be innovation. It will just be done by the corporations and ofc be offered at a premium. Just like Corpo Jesus intended.

@wildgrass

European men and women used to go outside and work and play. They got used to the heat and cold.

Nowadays people don't do anything outside, they play video games or watch the telly and I haven't seen anyone doing anything outside since the 1990's

We have allowed ourselves to be away from normal heat and now it feels intense.

Readers should be aware that thermostats for the news are always at hot airports and city centers.

Asphalt, buildings and vehicles giving off heat will screw the stats.

Of course, there will be innovation. But America will no longer be at the forefront of it. When funding is canceled for American universities and research institutes, good professors and researchers go abroad, and the good students follow them abroad.
