That does not take into account those that got SARS2 and were asymptomatic. What is the estimated % of those that are asymptomatic? We all know SARS2 does not kill 3% of people that get the virus. Not even close.
Surely the question of whether a particular disease constitutes a public health crisis is defined by the total number of hospitalisations and deaths, not the percentage of cases that result in these outcomes. Remember, a disease with an 100% mortality rate that is only caught by 1000 people has exactly the same overall death toll as a disease with a 1% mortality rate that is caught by 100,000 people. If lots of cases are asymptomatic, then by definition that means that COVID is more widespread than we thought it was. The prevalence of asymptomatic cases doesn't lessen the burden on our health services from the symptomatic cases we already counted, and it doesn't lessen my overall risk of serious complications and death.

The Dutch Government disagrees with you. They studied the science and determined there was no convincing evidence.

I'll quote the SG from the article I posted you didn't read.

He then explained the reasons why.

“On an individual level, there was a study in 2015 looking at medical students and medical students wearing surgical masks touch their face on average 23 ...[text shortened]... rgest effect because if healthcare workers get sick, they can't take care of you when you get sick.”
Then they are idiots or your maliciously misconstruing their evidence. We don’t need an expert to tell us that masks will have a dramatic effect on transmission rates if everyone stops listening to malicious actors like yourself and everyone wears one, it’s irrefutable common sense, we know this in the same way we know that the moon is definitely not made of cheese.

and you refuse to read. This time read WHY the US Surgeon General said masks could make things worse. Here it is again:

“On an individual level, there was a study in 2015 looking at medical students and medical students wearing surgical masks touch their face on average 23 times,” Adams explained. “We know a major way that you can get respiratory diseases like coronavirus is by touching a surface and then touching your face so wearing a mask improperly can actually increase your risk of getting disease.”

Adams went on to say that wearing a face mask “can also give you a false sense of security." He added that "you see many of these pictures with people out and about closer than six feet to each other, but still wearing a mask.”

Are you claiming he was making it all up? All of that was known in March. Masks cause more harm than good. They told you the truth first and now they are lying to increase deaths. They know masks have the opposite effect.

The world population estimate is 7.8 billion.

1,164,784 deaths is a very small percentage of the population. Do the math.
Why are people freaking out about it?

I guess they missed the instruction to wash their hands regularly Which is a bit worrying given that their medical students.
We got that instruction before being asked to wear masks.
No let me guess, they are putting tiny sharks in the water which inject us with mind control drugs when they nibble our unsuspecting fingers.

It must be difficult for you being wrong. Here this thread was supposed to prove the opposite and the numbers are difficult to explain. Must be a real ego bruiser.

I’m not wrong but I would never expect to win an argument with someone who thinks the truth comes from a wish list.

It doesn't matter whether or not the medical student washes their hands. Mask wearers are everyone, not just medical students. The point is that it increases the risk of getting the virus.

People are making the mistake of ASSUMING wearing a mask cannot hurt. That is a false assumption. It is very possible it could be doing more harm than good. I know people assumed it must help at least a little. That is also a false assumption.

I'm sure SARS2 is causing an increase in deaths, but it is being blown way out of proportion. Many of the increases in deaths is due to the lock down measures. People died because they were too scared to go to the doctor when they should have, got depressed and committed suicide, drank more alcohol than usual (lockdown alcoholism) and other factors that are usually overlooked.

Hospitals get more money for classifying a death as a C19 death even though it was not the main cause. More importantly, nobody knows how close/far away we are from herd immunity. Unfortunately, antibody tests are not a good gauge of what percentage of a population has had the SARS2 virus.

Anybody who claims they know how far we are from herd immunity is full of BS. People who get SARS2 and get immunity do not have antibodies forever and the body defense from viruses is more complicated than most people know.

No your right they don’t retain their anti body count it seems that covid reduces the production of anti bodies post infection that’s how we know the natural herd immunity dream is just that, a dream.
The most potent way of stopping the virus in its tracks is a massive roll out of an effective vaccine so that the majority of the populace is immune at roughly the same time but because of people like you convincing the weak minded that Bill Gates is out to get them it’s going to be a lot harder than it needs to be.

How long before a vaccine is widely available? At least 1 year, right?

When most people already have immunity to SARS2, that is when. Havn't you learned that reality yet?

I can't WAIT to see you and Dood and Eladar on ventilators.....
You all MIGHT change your opinions then, if you think C19 is so mild.

I eat sunflower seeds. I get enough selenium in my diet I am unlikely to be put on a ventilator.
