The thing about this is it's based on 2025 data. The "One Big Beautiful Bill" Act which sorely decimated the social safety net didn't pass until July of 2025, and the effects of the law didn't sink in until very late in the year.
The real test will be the 2026 figures, which won't come out until the middle of 2027.
The only thing we know right now is that poverty was on the decline during the final years of the Biden administration, with 2025 being the last year its policies were still making a difference in the lives of ordinary people.
I don't understand why you and your compatriots here don't ever take into account the time lag attendant with the effects of government policies and programs. Do you never learn?
