Sheriff’s Office creates lists of people it considers likely to break the law based on criminal histories, social networks and other unspecified intelligence. The agency sends deputies to their homes repeatedly, often without a search warrant or probable cause for an arrest.

Should we Back the Blue on this one, limited government conservatives? Or are we taxpayers paying guys with guns to knock on doors of people who got bad grades in high school just to ask if they've committed crimes lately?

Does anyone remember the movie Minority Report?

@wildgrass

How are the police supposed to enter a home without a warrant?

This can't happen. Many safeguards against such fascism, though this may change with liberal movements. The old common law of trespass comes to mind, as well as the Eastwood movie....."Get Off My Lawn!!"

I think part of the problem is the conservative push to 'Back the Blue' or defend police regardless of the specifics. There are similar examples where police will pull you over if you have your window rolled down because that means you can't afford air conditioning and might be a criminal.

Certainly, this stuff has to be unconstitutional. I'm glad we've found common ground.

Sad you think that backing the blue is a problem. Sad indeed.
I've always liked that time worn phrase, about people like you, who constantly tear down the police,,,,,,,,,and then when trouble hits, their first phone call is to the police, to come and help them. They ask the police to help them.
Would you tell the police, after they help you, to get the Hel away from you.

What WOULD you say?

I'd tell them to do their job properly or find another one.

can you back that up a little bit? or do we need to treat it as untrue?

As far as I can determine, they did their jobs as well as possible under the circumstances.

Maybe you believe everything Trump tells you ........................................

IF they were being "escorted" inside the building, how come they were attacking the Capitol Police with flagpoles, cement blocks, mace, etc. etc. etc. https://apnews.com/article/docs-expose-depth-january-6-capitol-siege-chaos-fd3204574c11e453be8fb4e3c81258c3

The article only gives CLAIMS made by individuals. It should be easy to show an actual event if it is so problematic.

This is the way the state run lib media operates. The put a lot of ANONYMOUS he said she said out there.

Lets see an actual encounter. I imagine a lot of thugs are upset
