@wildgrass saidWhat an intelligent post!
A trade is not the same as a pardon, obviously.
Unless you think the drug kingpins are paying trump for a pardon?
@wildgrass saidOk granted, maybe the bosses should stay in jail. You also can admit that although Trumps methods are extreme they are in fact yielding results, which no other president could acheive. Drug cartels are living in fear, drug boats are staying off the seas, and less hard drugs are reaching their intended destination in the US.
You can write that as positives while also admitting that the drug kingpins belong in prison and should not be pardoned.
@Rajk999 saidWhy did you add maybe?

This seems obvious. A jury convicted someone of drug trafficking in excess of hundreds of kilos of heroin and cocaine. He was sentenced to life in prison and had assets seized.
Trump pardoned him and gave him back his money.
@wildgrass saidIt is not a big issue. The bigger issue is that there is now results in the fight against drug cartels. Prior to now, the drug cartels were untouchable, arrogant and they ruled the world. Now there is Trump. Thank God for that.

@Rajk999 saidI think arresting the kingpins is more important because it destroys whole organizations. At least let's keep the ones we convicted in jail forever.

Why do you think trump did it? Pardoned all the biggest drug dealers in the world?
@fornichessate removed their quoted postHe sends the message that it's ok to run a massive drug smuggling operation, because even if you're caught you can get pardoned as long as you have enough money to pay him off.
@wildgrass saidIf Trump would have jailed them you would be screaming at the moon about that????

@wildgrass saidI’m sure there is a bigger story you’re not mentioning, or know? I know they were in prison that’s not I was saying and I hope you know that?
THEY WERE ALREADY IN PRISON FOR LIFE! HE RELEASED THEM AND GAVE THEM BACK THEIR DRUG MONEY.
@fornichessate removed their quoted postCorrect. You should not have to say that but wildgrass jsut cannot see any truth as long as Trump is involved. So far in the first year Trump has made a significant dent in the drug trade, something pervious US presidents failed after decades of trying.

@Rajk999 saidThat’s nonsense. El Chapo was the top of the food chain among the cartels. When he was captured during Obama ‘s term they fragmented. Trump is now chasing all the small potatoes middle managers who are all fighting each other and he’s pardoning some of the big players who were already caught.
