We are trying to protect our democratic way of life. In order to do this, we may need to remove many of your civil liberties. I am sure you will understand that we must treat some people with suspicion and fear. In time, we may be forced to treat many people in this way. It is for your own safety. If you are white, anyway, you will probably not suffer too much. But if you choose to live in our society you must understand and respect our ways. Of course you may live out your own religion without discrimination, but please be aware that if you insist on wearing a beard and/or head covering you will naturally be a suspect of terrorism. Particularly if you are Muslim. This is not personal but practical. Please, let us know if you see anyone doing anything that may possibly be construed, in any way, perhaps, possibly or otherwise, as suspicious. Please report your neighbour to any relevant authority if they live a life that is different to you and therefore raises your concerns. Most particularly if they are middle eastern and even more particularly if they are practising Muslims. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this time of terror, in this era of attack on our society and way of life. We want you to have the democratic freedom in your life that is rightfully yours; this is why we attacked a country full of Muslim people in the first place – to bring them democratic freedoms. Freedoms which they all wanted, deserved, and will one day finally accept, even if it is at gun point.
Now we must protect ourselves against these fierce terrorists who appear to act without reason or rhyme. WHY, for example, would they target us? I rest my case. I know in my heart that you will be happy to resign your own democratic rights and those of the people around you, in order to protect our way of life. Don’t let them win. This is not some problem to be solved, this is a war on terrorism – there can only be winners and losers.

In my opinion they already have won.
We are cutting down our constituitional rights for freedom of speech, freedom of your house, of your communciation and so on.
Even in Germany we are facing new laws and new restrictions.
I (as an ashamed Whitey) definetly feel with those persons under pressure.
On the other hand I simply do not know how to protect oneself (hopefully in a few years even my family) other than getting your "democratic" leaders to act in a way to change the situations in those countries which are breeding this agressive islam (remarkable that this kind of agressive religion only grews in countries which are extrem poor, is it not ?).
There is no way to defend your people against every agressor willing to sacrifice his own life. As I already explained in an other thread the active material you can get by robbing an X-Ray apparatus for medical care gives you the possibility to build a "dirty" bomb which is not exploding like a normal nuke bomb but is only emmiting great amounts of radioactive rays.
Let´s face it. In future i think it will always be a risk of live to congregate with other humans like sport events, big parties etc.
But as soon as you decide to protect yourself by avoiding those occassions they have won again. They destroyed your way of live.
I work as a Sales Manager and some of my customers are from Israel. It is truly amazing. Nearly every Israel family has either lost one of their family or at least knows someone better which was killed by a suicidal attack.
Our business friends do not watch TV and every day run the risk that their children never ever arrive in school.
What a life. It is truly awful.
Against this brutal Islam stands the other Islam which is a quite peaceful yet traditional religion. I for myself have friends which are Muslims and I can tell there are possibilities for an easy coexistence.

The adjective "liberal" describes having an open mind and listening to what others have to say. It doesn't mean you have to agree with what they say, but it does mean that you must look at what they say objectively. Here is an example. I will use the Schiavo case. It is my beleif that euthenasia ends suffering. However, I must realize that others may have moral objections. This is America. They are entitled to their moral objections. This realization that others are entitled to their own beliefs is, in fact, being a true liberal. Keep an open mind.
