Russia detains Swedish citizen as Moscow eyes future prisoner swaps

The FSB arrested the Swedish citizen in Pskov region on terrorism charges and Japanese journalist Yuki Imai on Sakhalin on espionage charges, days after former president Medvedev wrote that Russia may need to “fill up the exchange pool with European and American idiots” to recover Russians abroad.

Russia seems to be inventing charges to arrest foreigners for use as bargaining chips in prisoner swaps.

Putin is one evil SOB.

The Britany Griner swap and others may have given Putin the idea, since Russia gained a major asset (a big-time arms dealer) in exchange for a (relatively) unknown person.

Sweden and Japan are holding Russians in prison?
Who are these Russians? The article you posted makes no mention of them having Russians in prison.

All well and good but can you make Shchi, Okroshka or Rassonik?

@Great-Big-Stees

I'm a meat & potato & vegetable kind of guy, with alternate rice dishes, pasta dishes and other noodles dishes.

I have been known to use Asian sauces 😉
