@sonhouse saidWe don't want to see people with no merit holding jobs that they are not cut our for. DEI DOES make such decisions on color of skin, you see. So you are the one making an issue out of skin colors.
Oh, you must mean those ultra white folks who don't want to see brown skins or blacks or yellow. DAMN diversity.
That is YOUR brain on steroids.
@AverageJoe1 saidRIGHT, So you can't STAND the idea of this BROWN skin dude getting a job as a grave digger. Should be a WHITE person job right?

@AverageJoe1 saidYou want to limit the people who do jobs YOU approve of and THAT is the bottom line.
Where did I make any distinction of color gradation of skin? You have me confused with Suzianne.
I bet you STILL approve of Trump even though his new budget says 1.5 TRILLION for DEFENSE, up from about 0.9 trillion now, you go YEAH, lets do it.
Ignoring the part where the extra half trill IN THE BILL will come DIRECTLY from cuts to child care, Medicaid, Medicare, SS, VA benefits.
THAT doesn't bother you in the SLIGHTEST.
@sonhouse saidYes, it is my strong belief that we need to actually increase our military. I don’t know about the trillion dollar amount, that is for our budget people to decide, but we definitely need to have a stronger military than we do right now. If Iran finally be wiped off the map and the terrorist go away, then we can fulfill your greatest wish and reduce the size of our military. That is a no-brainer Funhouse..

@AverageJoe1 saidNot "trillion' dollar amount. it is one and a HALF trillion is the proposed budget getting the money from cutting medicaid, medicare and the like, FK the population, they can get along without insurance, we have to obliterate Iran.

@sonhouse saidFirst, you need to tellk your audience that the $1.5T is over Multiple years, not a single-year jump.

Also, fed spending is divided into two categories. The welfare, insurance , social security et al are Mandatory spending.
Defense falls under Discretionary spending.
If we cut one does not automatically fund the other. You do misrepresent here.
So, some people think that stronger defense spending prevents huge conflicts, while others feel that money would be better used domestically, like you do. Both concerns are worth taking seriously no question. It comes down to what priorities we think matter the most. We have to balance security with taking care of people at home. In these stressful times overseas, which could spill over to our shores if we don't nip it in the bud, I lean towards defense spending, as in this land of America there are many programs where help is always there.
If people like you would stop relying on free healthcare and buy your own healthcare insurance, which responsible citizens do, you would not be so worried about the govt taking care of people.
It is not in the constitution, Funhouse. But, defense, protecting our country, is in the constitution.
There are over 1000 companies which sell health insurance. It should be a mainstay in our budgets. Here is an article for you to show your concerned friends.
“There are over 1,170 private health insurance companies filing health statements with the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) in the U.S. as of 2023. While thousands of smaller entities exist, the market is highly concentrated, with the top 10 insurers—including UnitedHealth Group, Elevance Health, and Aetna—covering the vast majority of the 65% of Americans with private coverage. ""
I like United Health Care, and my bother uses Aetna. So many to choose from, all competitive. I am part of the 65%. Others just take a risk, maybe they are govt parasites, but I ain't writing about them. The smaller percentage that are in despair certainly have govt programs. If you keep the loser people out of their way, make them buy their own insurance, then the govt will be just fine..Just fine.
