@cheesemaster saidHere's a breakthrough thought for McHill. How about ALL the states pass that same law, and everyone who suffers a loss (we'll keep it simple as non-injury) in the all states will receive restitution from the government (treasury) of their respective state. What do you think about that scenario?
Do wealthy store owners get paid if people steal from them too?
Or is it just people who are assaulted and such?
@cheesemaster saidThis is the 'where do you draw the line' predicament that I mentioned above. How about only NON wealthy storeowners getting restitution. Ha, I can hardly type this. Could I be too conservative, I think Trump is not my god, logic is.

@averagejoe1 saidHoly jeeeeezus, homeless people have a more stable way to make some drug money, now.
You’re killing me (and all of us). Google ‘Seattle Restitution’, and you will be utterly amazed. When a victim of a crime suffers a loss, the town will takemoney from the taxpayers, who have nothing to do with person or the criminal or the crime, and pay it to the victim.
Do the liberals on this forum have any idea where all of this is heading. It means, of course, ...[text shortened]... the new definition of a citizen, that even illegal people in this country could receive such money.
@averagejoe1 saidIt's not any different from universal healthcare or loan forgiveness. The purpose is 100% redistributive.

@quackquack saidGreat post, quack. They are INDEED, as Obama said to Joe the Plumber, "we're going to spread the wealth around."

I've forgotten what went down that day. Plumber may have worked in the house of a rich guy who'd invented the intermittent windshield-wiper motor, made gazillions, and Joe did not think, at his $80K income that that was fair! I was with Joe all the way, was on the way to get a marching poster, but then saw Joe drive away, in his truck that had Intermittent Windshield Washers, which kept him safe. And, Joe was talking on his apple iPhone as he drove to a rally against Steve Jobs' success!!!!!!!!!!!
The bed-sheets of these libs must be a mess.
@quackquack saidHow many of our liberal friends here think there is no end in sight for what the government can give away? Alas, I guess there are just enough of them to push the country into serious scat. Don't forget the money to the descendants of slaves. Buncha money.

@averagejoe1 saidFunny how the "liberals" really want the government to be their slave masters in total control of all aspects of everyone's life.

@dood111 saidThat might be an interesting debate, if they truly shared their logic, but I feel that though that is the case, (govt have a plantation), they simply cannot see it that way. It is a natural feeling to be, for lack of a better word (there is no better word), dependent.

Did you see where McHill bears that out, by saying if a person gets burglarized, he can lean on the government ......depend on the govt. It truly gives me chills.
@averagejoe1 saidRobert Kearns, the engineer who invented intermittent windshield wipers, was not a rich guy who made "gazillions." The Ford Motor Co. and others stole his invention, leading to a never-ending series of court cases that ruined his life. There was a movie about it.
