@Cliff-Mashburn saidSo you are advocating getting away from our Traitor in Chief by going where? Antarctica? Trump is screwing up the entire planet in his quest to dictatorship.
They won't be standing by the time Atkturos gets there, they are falling apart almost as soon as they are finished.. Too dangerous to even enter after a year, if that:

Do you now deny he is NOT pushing HARD to be a dictator? After he has stated publicly he wants to go after a third term, meaning a 4th term and a 5th term if he lives that long. Do you deny that possibility?
@sonhouse saidI don't know what you are talking about.

@Cliff-Mashburn saidIn other words you can't see Trump pushing for being a dictator. Just wanted to know where you stand.

You would do well in China, help them TOTALLY destroy the US. Just like Metal Brain, I tell him he would be welcomed as a hero if he moved to Moscow to be with his mentor Putin.
@sonhouse saidJeus Christ. we're talking about China, get Trump off your brain for once.

No matter what the subject you start crying about Trump. Stop it, get some help.
@Great-Big-Stees said???? Y'all keyed my Granny's Tesla. That is hurting 'anyone'.
At my age I can say and do as I please, as long as it doesn’t hurt anyone. Hey, that sounds a bit fence sittingish doesn’t it?π€π²π
You ive in conflict, a toil. Supplemented with travail. You say we should not hurt, but, you hurt. You expect us spreaders of common sense to get that!??!
@Cliff-Mashburn saidLeave Sonhouse alone with his fervor! We are witnessing the evolvement of a new species!!!

@Cliff-Mashburn saidSo you figure things are so bad we Americans should consider moving to some other country where maybe people are valued?

@Great-Big-Stees saidSorry about that.
Oh I sit on the fence but while there I weigh the pros and cons of each side, then make my choice.π
@Cliff-Mashburn saidYeah, I'm aware of that. To me the initial still shot looks like highrises on Mars, but I gather there might not be utility services or grocery stores, so it would be a no-go. Still an interesting video, which I will bookmark.
Lots of property for sale in China :

@Cliff-Mashburn saidGood to know. So far I had only known about the artificial eggs made from gypsum and other ingredients.

But hey, give us another 5 or 10 years and we all might be plastic eaters.
When it comes to natural ingredients, I might be willing to give old-fashioned country-style snakeskin and scorpion broth a try, but would draw a firm line against medicinal or really any cockroaches (the same for crunchy crickets in Thailand).
@Cliff-Mashburn saidLibtards in Canada are just as bad and aggressive as in the US.

Funny; neither has had a January 6th where police officers and others were murdered like with the violent aggressive trumptards.
@Indonesia-Phil saidThank you for your comments, and also for bringing to mind the aspect of living in a healthy environment with good air quality. This also helps me to appreciate my current location (which of course I dare not disclose in this pit of vipers π ).
Living here is as cheap as chips, comparatively (to the west) speaking, it's possible to live a very comfortable life with little income. Getting to live here in the first place requires negotiation of the somewhat labyrinthine Indonesian Immigration system...What's written up on the board at the 'Kantor Imigrasi' bears little resemblance to that which is actually paid ...[text shortened]... it: The health - service here is outstanding, I'd far rather be sick or injured here than in the UK.

@Arkturos saidI did see those 'crunchy crickets' in Thailand. My Teloc took me to an outdoor food court and there was this bowl of some kind of big black bugs trying to get out of the bowl but sliding back every time. So she reaches in and grabs on, dips it in some sauce and crunches it down.

That was totally unexpected, I'm going mentally O M Gπ
Did you ever hear some of my tunes or did you have trouble finding me if you went there, that isπ
@Philokalia saidI had the misfortune of having to deal with a couple of rabid psycho-egocentric pyramid-climbers in an academic setting. (To be fair, I have also met some nice and reasonable Koreans, and also some time has passed since then).
... Why not Korea?!
Well, I can tell you that Korea would be potentially difficult due to the requirements for a retirement visa being non-negligible, and things like owning property only being granted to permanent residents and citizens.
I have no idea about the visa requirements and land ownership laws for the other three countries, though I seem to recollect that ...[text shortened]... y ownership. However, if you are very wealthy, I am sure there would be no barriers to any of these.
Also, I just don't feel any cultural affinity with Korea as I do with the three other countries* I mentioned (if there's such a thing as past lives, those might very well be involved), and despite the brilliant phonetic alphabet and inclusion of hanja, I think Korean would be more difficult for me to learn than Mandarin or Japanese.
I'm not wealthy and would probably be fine with renting. Maybe something in my favor (if I ever managed to fix my budget and unload my house and other accumulations) is that I would not mind a used house or apartment as much as some natives might (if it were reasonably clean and everything worked).
I gather that some residences in Korea might be better heated in winter than some in Japan.
But really, to you and everyone -- this notion might lead nowhere. I don't have money in the bank, and might only have another 15 or 20 good years left in me at best.
Meanwhile I can enjoy some armchair tourism and daydreaming about "what if?"
