@athousandyoung saidNo education is what you get from schools in the barrio. You know, the place where school boys get beat up by gangstas.
You mean no education? Maybe have children working in mining like they used to?
@eladar saidIDK in the movies I always see white boy jocks beating up schoolboys

@wildgrass saidWell, how do you think it will end if teachers are given free rein?? A black lady descended from slaves could go actually wild. You best think about what you are saying. How about the math teacher who was a young member of the KKK? You best think about what you are saying.
Now, with Republicans leading the charge for the government to monitor and dictate every single word uttered by every teacher in America, it seems the conservatives want to take regulation to a whole other level, which goes against the idea of "limited government" no? Unless, of course, limited government was never a goal in the first place for the ol' GOP.
Do you really think bodycams on teachers is going to end well? The left will have a field day.
That out of the way, you say above that cameras would not be a govt move, but how then would you handle the teachers I just mentioned ???? No cameras, means no way to know if Mr KKK is trying to best the slave descendant in the next room.
We need the cameras. I just hate it. But, my child is in the math class!!!!
Serious stuff. That's why we cajole about it???
@athousandyoung saidWhere I came from we do not have the term school boy. I had to work in a barrio school to hear the term and see first hand how things work.

@eladar saidI never heard the term until you used it to describe me. I grew up in inner city Los Angeles and went to school with Mexicans in a gang infested neighborhood.

@athousandyoung saidI suppose the gang bangers at your school had the utmost respect for scholars.

conservatives want education to be the way it has been since the beginning.
Its you libs wanting to take it to another level
@eladar saidIDK about that but back then they were more focused on wiping out the Black population of Los Angeles. I'm a white boy so they didn't bother me much.
I suppose the gang bangers at your school had the utmost respect for scholars.
https://www.latimes.com/archives/la-xpm-2006-jul-04-me-gangs4-story.html
Men, women and children were harassed, terrorized, assaulted and slain as gang members sought to force black residents out of Latino neighborhoods, prosecutors said.

@mott-the-hoople saidI know it's a bit "out of the box" for people used to being told what to think but why not?
LOL...you cant be serious
How come you "limited government" types are all bent out of shape by the idea of repealing compulsory education laws?
@no1marauder saidThose are state laws not Federal.

Not to monitor every word teachers use in order to make sure they don't teach facts right wingers might object to.
