@Mott-The-Hoople saidApparently some people who have walked among crooks, criminals and rapists, cannot see why some people choose not to.
No you havent…hell, the majority of blacks wont
@Rajk999 saidOh I’m very much aware of why AJ and Cliff won’t go to those areas. They wouldn’t treat the locals respectfully and this would cause them problems.

These two elected a criminal who had sex with underage prostitutes so they clearly have no problem with criminal rapists.
@shavixmir saidWithout going into detail, I have very good reasons to be leery of black areas.
Yeah. Like I said. With people who are traumatised and psychotic. On refugee camps. Basically people from former Yugoslavia.
I’ve walked through the backstreets of many cities, including Rotterdam, Amsterdam, London, Paris, New York, Cairo.
Hell, even places in Mumbai not fit for human dwelling.
You seem surprised. Maybe you should man up and not flinch at every pers ...[text shortened]... ho looks at you.
Oh, by the way, I’m scared the crap of wasps and spiders.
To each their own…
More than a few.
Even without criminal/life threatening encounters, I've had many problems just dealing with them and seen a thousand more as a bystander.
Getting real sick of you people defending them just because you've been lucky.
Most of us haven't. .
@Cliff-Mashburn saidPersonal experience is really not required. I see so many times people resort to the defence ".... well it never happened to me .. and I have done x,y and z.." That has to be the most ignorant of comments. The statistics show clearly that all over the world, certain communities, races, nations etc have a higher percapita rate of criminal activity. Smart people steer clear of them.

@Cliff-Mashburn saidApparenttly opening your eyes and speaking the truth, as per the facts and statistics, is a crime in some countries.
Better yet, just check for OPENING YOUR DAMN EYES FOR WHAT HAS BEEN GOING ON SINCE THE DAWN OF MANKIND.
@Rajk999 saidSeems to be, among the Left/Liberal/Democrats in whatever country you go.

Just look at what's happening to Free Speech in Great Britain.
People are getting arrested and sent to prison in England for online comments that hurt the POC's feelings.
@Cliff-Mashburn saidAnd the criminals laugh

@Cliff-Mashburn saidBetter than having 100% racism.
Would you walk into that crowd and spend an afternoon?
If so, you have zero situational awareness.
1 edit
@shavixmir saidAbsolutely. This is 100% correct.
Haha.
Yeah.
Dumb arse.
I’ve worked on refugee camps and I’ve strolled through the roughest of neighbourhoods, generally without any problems.
In fact, the only problems I encountered where when psychiatric problems were abound.
Even gangs don’t give a damn about you, as long as you’re not supporting gang colours and minding your own business.
So you are scared. Get some bloody therapy and quit the racism.
I'm not as active as I once was, but I have been around homeless people in downtown Phoenix for over 15 years and these are some of the most destitute people I've ever seen. These are people at the lowest end of the socioeconomic scale and most of them are not white. Yes, they have problems. Many are vets whom the US has abandoned and let fall through the cracks of a horrible system that doesn't give a damn about them. Many, due to their race, cannot get jobs and so they've found a modicum of support from community. There for a while, we were beating the system by getting a lot of these people off the streets and into shelters and even getting city and state governments to sponsor low cost housing programs for them. And we did all this in a red state.
Yes, mental illness is a big part of why some of these were here, but how does the state/insurance system allow these people to be not only undocumented, but unhelped?
These people CAN be helped, we've shown that, but the system gives back so much resistance to helping them that actual help to these people comes in political waves, based on who is in power and how much they give a damn.
Racism doesn't help these people. The only thing that does is people helping them face to face to get the help they need. This requires manpower, something that governments lately have decided "costs too much". It also requires empathy, something America is sorely lacking right here, right now.
@Cliff-Mashburn saidWhat do you plan on doing about it?
Better yet, just check for OPENING YOUR DAMN EYES FOR WHAT HAS BEEN GOING ON SINCE THE DAWN OF MANKIND.
Oh, yeah, not a damned thing, cause you like it the way it is.
