@no1marauder saidYou just popped in when I posted mine. So you are saying that Jared CAN make money fro business with Saudi Arabia.
Yes, it's been investigated for five years now. Making money from business dealings with foreign nationals isn't illegal even if you are a politician's son.
Still nothing of any legal consequence and certainly nothing incriminatory towards Joe Biden.
Then what in the world are all these posts about? Is Jared a good guy, or a bad guy?
@averagejoe1 saidI haven't made any posts about Kushner here; in general, I don't play "whataboutisms".

@no1marauder saidOops, thought you were keying inon Vivify's dragging up Jared Kushner, playing a whataboutism, implying that Jared did something wrong in his brokerage business of investing the funds of investors.
I haven't made any posts about Kushner here; in general, I don't play "whataboutisms".
I think Vivify thinks that it is OK for Hunter to personally receive millions (now documented) from other countries under suspicious circumstances, since Jared did? (which funds were NOT personal).
I would like for Vivify to clear this up, would save a lot typing.
He already has to answer to Suzianne for the whataboutism. She has banned them.
It is notable that last September, 33 Republican Senators wrote a letter to AG Garland which stated in its first paragraph:
"We the undersigned write to request that United States Attorney David C. Weiss be
extended special counsel protections and authorities to conduct the Hunter Biden
investigation."
And ended:
"This is an important action that you can take that will go a long way in restoring faith in our governmental institutions".

There is no mention of the requirement that the person appointed a special counsel be "outside of the US government".
@no1marauder saidYeah and the guy who did that investigation I have highlighted issues with his ability to look at Biden with integrity.

@vivify saidAnd again what does it matter one way or another? There are a million people criticizing Trump from the left and right which I actually think is a good thing! I liked how everyone had his life under the microscope. You never saw all the major news media ignore possible crimes with him, as we see with Biden.
It doesn't have to be equal. But why *never*?
You are correct that if Biden committed a crime it doesn't matter if he was found out for partisan reasons or not. But that partisanship can also help people get away with crimes or to be persecuted unfairly when they're actually innocent. Partisanship clouds facts.
I'll admit it's easier for me to criticize Biden than for other Dems since I severely disliked him from the start. I do think that he ultimately wants to help the country but he's not the guy for the job. If it was Bernie Sanders that would actually hurt.
I won't flip the conversation to Republicans. If Biden did anything wrong let's stick to discussing that.

"Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) does not think much of the appointment of U.S. Attorney David Weiss as special counsel for the Justice Department’s investigation into Hunter Biden, the president’s son.
Attorney General Merrick Garland “knows Weiss will protect Hunter,” Blackburn scoffed in a social media post on Saturday.
But Weiss’ appointment is exactly what she and other congressional Republicans requested. Special counsel is the same designation Garland gave Jack Smith, currently prosecuting former President Donald Trump."
Most normal human beings have a negative reaction when faced with other human beings displaying an obvious lack of shame.
If you get over this however american politics is actually quite fun
@kellyjay saidNo, you really haven't.
Yeah and the guy who did that investigation I have highlighted issues with his ability to look at Biden with integrity.
Weiss, is of course, a Trump appointee. Moreover, DOJ was investigating the case for several years under a Republican administration with a partisan Republican AG. Right wing complaints about any supposed bias in Hunter Biden's favor should be greeted with incredulity by the non-gullible.
@kellyjay saidThese stories are all over the "major news media". Granted, they don't play them for 24 hours a day like Fox News or have 90% of their articles focused on them like right wing print media but there's been little news that has been noteworthy; mostly it's simply recycled allegations that have been public for months or years.

We're waiting for substantial evidence supporting "possible crimes" by Joe Biden. SO far, we've waited in vain. The latest press dump by Comer basically admits that they haven't and probably never will have actual evidence of money flowing to Joe Biden from any activities (nevermind illegal ones) of Hunter Biden but now in a breathless moving of the goalposts claims that is irrelevant.
Hard to take the Comers and Jordans seriously when they play such games.
@vivify saidLMFAO
