Explain how Jews knew not to eat shellfish (vile unless properly cleaned), not to eat vultures, etc.

If you eat something and then get sick, it doesn't take Einstein to know that you shouldn't eat it again.

Plus explain how god has failed to instruct the millions of jews/christians on the planet of the dangers of smoking.

He has. He tells us to treat our bodies as temples and not to corrupt it. This includes smoking, drugs, alcohol...

I wonder, if people would please share their ideas on these.
Educated people have known the world wasn't flat for ages; the Greeks even worked out the dimensions using the angles of sunlight near the equator and further north. Many ancient peoples had wide knowledge of astronomy, science, architecture, art and on and on.
Ancient people didn't need a god, or aliens from another planet, to teach them these things, they worked them out for themselves; your claim that the Hebrews are special is false.

Four corners of the earth OBVIOUSLY mean North, South, East and West.

And since God didn't tell Isaiah verbatim, but instead put the images into his head, I would think circle would do, since the word sphere wouldn't be created for at least 1600 more years. 🙂
Oh OBVIOUSLY!

Sorry, it might not be so obvious to someone who doesn't often read Scripture.

But yes, four corners of the earth means the 4 directions.

Knever, read the Bible. God is clearly the driving force behind the Jews.

. . . walking into sunlight without SPF 100, eating junk food, drinking soda, eating too low a vegetable/red meat ratio, not washing your hands regularly, not flossing, not getting regular check-ups at the doctors office, not exercising regularly, playing violent sports, and going to xtian rock concerts (bad for the ears).

You know Darfius, I'm not sure how long you've been an xtian, but you should stop conjecturing on how many times some one has read the Bible. I have a strong suspicion that you've read less of it than some of your opponents.

Remember from your point of view, the Bible is the word of God. Not the word of Darfius. It is quite likely that you don't understand much of what is written there.

The Egyptians built the pyramids, the Chaldeans had ziggurats, the motions of the stars were plotted and well-known to many ancients; in the Amazon, Man learned how to bore a hole down the long axis of a stick with tolerences approaching that of a car engine while using stone-age tools AND learned how to distill arrow-tree frog poison to make hunting weapons. The list of Man's ingenuity goes on, I don't have space to list more than a few.
The ancients did it without your god or somebody else's alien-instructors; without otherworldly help.
Your claim that the Hebrew's knowledge is proof of God is false; they either learned things on their own or had contact with other ancient peoples and shared ideas with them, on the other hand, there was nothing special about their knowledge that set them apart from others.

Where is the exact passage say that this is stated ? Perhaps you can post it up as I believe your statement to be an interpretation of the scripture. Where as earlier your example that god advised the jews against eating meat, I believe is specifically stated in the bible. You see the difference ?

"What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's" (1 Corinthians 6:19-20)

Would it include only eat healthfully? I mean, would you say that
fat Christians who over eat aren't treating their bodies as temples?

Do you eat red meat, knowing that, in the quantities in which most
American's eat it, it is extraordinarily unhealthy? Do you eat fast
food? Do you exercise to keep your 'temple' fit?

Yes it does. We all have sins that we struggle with. We must turn to the Lord for help.

So, fat Christians who do not repent of their fatness will not enter
the kingdom of heaven?

Also he made a molten sea of ten cubits from brim to brim, round in compass, and five cubits the height thereof; and a line of thirty cubits did compass it round about.

So have circles changed since then?
